We look for people similar to us..we like a good profile!!

But some are getting seriously long....

What works for you and why? and if you've got a seriously long or short profile, does it work for You?

i prefer similar to yours, 3 or 4 short paragraph..

mines rather long but at the end of the day if they cant be bothered to read a five min profile then I sure as hell cant be bothered to let them loose between my legs

We prefer upto a page, it can get a bit waffling beyond that.

I think mine is about the right length?, long enough to give basic information yet short enough to not bore anybody.

Had somebody message me last week to say it was the nicest profile they had read!

As for how successful it is... it isn't! Maybe people are just using my face pics to keep the kids away from the fire?!

Whatever works for the individual - although personally anything less than a short paragraph and I'll generally overlook it.

Other than that it's not so much the length as the content that will attract me - anything overly negative or ranty will see me reach for the 'next' button.

Our profile is regularly updated and we try to keep it concise.

It needs to be long enough to get the point across, but short enough that people actually read it.

We don't really like to have back and forth messages as it can get very time consuming to get through them all.

Our profile hopefully gets across what we are looking for so people don't waste time messaging if they are not compatible. If someone clearly hasn't read the profile, or asking for stuff we're clearly not interested in or call outside our preferences, then we delete - no reply.

Also, we always look at the other person's profile, if it's pretty blank with no preferences or 'looking for fun', 'seeing what it's all about' - it's a no go from us. We like know if we have the same likes etc before potentially wasting time messaging.

Depends how fast you can read?

Think mine is quite short, sweet and to the point??

I don't like angry, ranty ones that go on forever.

I get where they are coming from sometimes as the longer you're on here the more things annoy you and you need to add them to your profile.

It depends if your reading a long profile that really had said nothing at the end it usually means there not fo us, that said I love to read a good profile that has something that is interesting humorous and a profile that has made me think yeah I like the look of this couple person I will pm even if it's to just say wow I really enjoyed reading your profile

Had a long chat last week about all sorts shame they were so far away but it gave us a lovely chat someone that I wouldn't have chatted too if he had not have had such a good read
