If someone sends me a massage ( that's sparks my interest) then I ask and send in return. Can't stand peeps who want to "chat" but are so reluctant to show themselves. I want to know who I'm chatting with from the off.

We believe picture etiquette should be that whoever sends first message should include a face pic. Then a face pic should be returned if there is mutual interest. This way of doing thing thing isn't for everyone, but we feel it keeps things fair and simple. If face pics are not readily offered we won't ask for a picture and conversation will probably just fizzle out.

if someone messages me with the intention of wanting to take things further, then I would expect a pic to be attached and I would send one in return...

if I get a message where they expect a reply/response but with no pic attached I will ask for one

if none is forthcoming I will block them

In my opinion, it would come across as a pic collector if that was the entire message. But if it was only part of a first message that contained other polite questions and conversation starters it could be acceptable

Yeah agree. I think if we had an out of the blue request for a picture with nothing else in the message and no attached pictures, we would find that a bit strange. Certainly wouldn't take the profile seriously.

Maybe not first picture but certainly in the first few messages. Us woman gets loads of messages so I like to see if there's any spark upfront.if someone reluctant to send a picture I really can't be bothered wasting my time with them. Cruel maybe but that's how it is for me. I won't waste my time or theirs if there's not a spark from the off, sadly physical attraction online plays a huge part of that spark.

Yup I can understand that, just wish there could be an accepted method, I've tried both ways now, and missed out both times!! Oh well x

This!! I know in a perfect fairy tale sparkly twinkle world, nobody would care what anyone looked like and looks wouldn't come into it, but they do, and they ARE important, no matter what anyone says! If someone isn't to your taste, then you won't click.
