According to medical fact the average erect human penis size is 5.1 inches, and only 5% of males have a penis size greater than 6.3 inches. So the OP is quoting the lower end of the spectrum.

Also UK men were found to estimate their own at 6.89 inch, with women guessing at 6.5... so the theory makes alot of sense.

There are quite a few different studies with slightly different results but the average of different studies is this from Wikipedia:

"Measurements vary, with studies that rely on self-measurement reporting a significantly higher average than those with a health professional measuring. Your meant to measure from where the base meets you abdomen up to the tip. Other ways of measuring will include length you couldn't actually insert into a vagina.
