Victorian mother-of-two Zita Sukys and father-of-one Dale Ewins took a photo of themselves posing with the fake gun before attending the swingers party at Inflation nightclub in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Mr Ewins was dressed as the Joker and Ms Sukys was dressed as Harley Quinn from the 2016 film Suicide Squad.

The couple was shot by police about 3.30am on Saturday when the 'fake gun' was allegedly aimed at officers.
