How to spot a catfish?

Is there a way to spot a fake profile on here or at least someone with with different intentions (eg a straight couples profile but seems like it may be a man - just from a recent message I received)

I don't really get many messages sadly ( queue violin music) but when I do, they are off profiles with no pictures, no verifications or where they do have pictures,they look like they have been googled.

I guess my question is, Are there a lot of fakes on here and what are typical traits of these so called catfish, so I can begin to make genuine friends or meets from here?

Google search any pictures sent.

If they are off some californians Facebook or other social site, and they say they are from Bromley.

If they ain't photo verified.

If they are slimy, have whiskers and guns and hang around near the bottom of the river ......

If they are not photo verified and can't send you a live pic of them together then assume it's a man by himself or ask to meet and chat for a social first only then you will know by the response if it's a genuine couple

You don't need to be photo verified - it's meaningless insofar as any photo can be nabbed and copied. Try chatting to people who have had a few verifications and chat more in the forum so you get to know the old lags, sorry, fellow forumites.

women don't tend to be informal with people they don't know that well, look for things like them calling you hun, babe, things like that from the first few messages.

also most women do not need to to look for men, although some do so this is a tricky area, but if a woman approaches you being sexual straight away it's unlikely she is a she.

i'd like to say offer a social, phone call or cam chat but plenty of women aren't into this too soon. but it's possible you'll have better luck in camchat on here. and if not at least observe how genuine women act in there and compare it to who is messaging you.
