Hi, Just reported a profile for being fake as it was my ex wifes photo. I know someone else reported it too as they asked her if it was her. Now the profile has been removed, does it happen that quick? Anyone had experience of this??

I'm not sure admin do work that quickly.

It's most likely that they deleted their own profile after being caught out and receiving a message about it.

will depend who is online at the time really, mods/admin.

weekends could take a while, during the week more likely to be people around to sort stuff like this out and obv the more people report stuff the quicker it will get removed.

Ive spotted a couple in the ik last night and while goimg through their pixs found one of theres was sent to us as in a private mail by a supposed new couple who were concerned about privacy so had no public pics. Ragimg i cant find the mail from them to report.

how do you know it wasent your ex wife and once she found out she had been recognized she deleted her profile.

I've recently reported several .

I had been chatting with a guy and then I noticed someone from a different part of the country had looked at me with the same profile pic.

I messaged both guys (neither verified) and told them someone else shared the same profile pic. One ignored me and I reported and blocked. The other was abusive and said he'd reported me!! Then deleted his account.

4 different accounts appeared over night in my area. All pics of male models, all the same area, all set up at the same time and all with the same profile text. All reported but took ages for the profiles to disappear.

I check any photo that is "too good to be true" on Google. Most of the fakes are guys using pictures from foreign language gay porn sites. I report them but sometimes they are still around weeks later.

Well not only did I ask, and yes I know she was telling the truth, but she was also asked by another chap she knows of POF or Tinder who is on here if it was her to which she said no, why? Plus I was with her when I showed her the profile and stayed there for a brew. When I checked again after reporting it, the profile had been deleted without her using her phone, so I'm certain it wasn't her.

I'd just like to have admin reply to give an update on what happens after its been reported.

Reported 3 yesterday, all fake images from porn sites and all giving each other profile Veri's.

Just because a profile has been verified as real doesn't mean the Veri's are real too

Sadly its too easy to set up profiles with no cost (time or money) to invest.

It is the classic catch 22, free site and you will get a lot of fakes, pay site and you will lose a lot of users as they won't pay just to try the site out.

There are ways like restricting accounts for 7 days but then the fake can just set up one a day and after a week they have a new fake profile each day.

All you can do is check the profile looks real, check the Veri's are real, from real profiles, and try to talk/meet ASAP

Or go to clubs to meet real people rather than using a website.
