FabSwingers.com forum: What's important in a profile description

It seems that so many people seem to take a different approach to this, with some giving very detailed descriptions of what they're after, some being out and unpleasant with demands and a very arrogant attitude and some simply giving hardly any details and just asking people to message.

What do you guys look for before writing that first message, if indeed you even read at all.

I always read profiles. What is offputting for me is blank text or profiles that read "will fill in later"

I'm conscious that my profiles states a lot of what I don't want but that's due to hundreds of messages a day that didn't read my more open but specific profile!

People still don't read them most of the time in my opinion

I'll look to see if:

1) I match what they're looking for.

B) They can string a sentence together and spell correctly. This might not have any impact on them as a person/ people but it's a pet peeve of mine.

Secondly) Their profile gives off a good vibe. Not too crass, not too demanding, that sort of thing.

Primarily I check that I'm suitable for the needs of the couple as in my eyes it's me being invited into said couples private life such as age range, single male wanted and then I see if my fantasies or preferences coincide with theirs. If those match up then I'll send a message, if it slightly differs and I'd be willing to change my particular ideas at that time to accomodate theirs if I believed it could be a more frequent endeavour. And If I don't meet their requirements or vice versa then I'll continue searching.

I don't often write messages but I do look and give advice on those that ask for it here on the forums...

usually there isn't a profile as such, just a collection of words or the ubiquitous 'here for fun, hit me up'

and then they wonder why they get no response

Essentially if they sound like we're looking for the same things. We're pretty clear about what kind of experiences we're looking for from Fab (and thank you Fab for delivering them!). We've found the people who we've met seem to 'read' much the same way.

If we were to sum it up in one word though...'thoughtful' would probably cover it.

Yup and that extends to their messages too. Makes for a pleasant surprise to find a guy who actually makes an effort rather than the illeterates that I seem to attract.
