Fake Female Profiles

Hi all!

We've been dipping a toe in the water occasionally over the last 18 months and have had several meets and visits to clubs, particularly VA. We have had a recent spate of females contact us out of the blue, but are unsure as to whether they're genuine or not. Two this week have got in touch, messaged a few times, seemed keen, then nothing. Both added us as friends (one very quickly), but have both been online multiple times each day since, but aren't even reading our messages now. Is this a sign of a fake profile?

Not necessarily. People come and go on here and can talk for a short while or ages then disappear. They may not be reading your messages as, being single females, their inboxes could be busy.

I wouldn't worry about it. Defriend them if you're not getting anywhere and move on.

I would suggest it's more likely they don't wish to continue the conversation.

Also if they are site supporters they don't have to open the message to read it, it appears in the message thread.

Your messages are probably lost amongst the 8759 messages they get a day, we dont bother with profiles of any kind unless photo verified and have meets..other than that one guy she met the exact day she joined fab (thats normally a good sign of a fake).

Got to be patient with potential meets..

Thanks all - good advice! We're just open, honest and genuine professional people looking to enjoy this ride in the best way possible and treat everyone as we would wish to be, while being a little cautious about being used. Not remotely interested in politics, just having fun and meeting lovely people, socially and if the feeling's right, maybe more. xx

Thank you - all building a picture for us. Although being cautious we don't want to be over-cynical either as that's not how either of us is wired up. xx

Thank you so much! We just want to come across as the genuine, easy-going people we are. We've considered ourselves blessed to have met (and in some cases become friends with) some lovely people so far and don't want it to become anything other than the fabulous experience it is so far. xx

If they aren't well verified don't add them as friends. Some people only want to be a friend to look at friends only photos.

I suspected yesterday a female who started a thread on forum was fake, there's really no way of telling for sure though. You just have to go with your gut feeling. Females can get a lot of messages though, so I wouldn't assume they are fake. If they haven't blocked you then they may get back to you at a later date maybe, so maybe worth not unfriending them xxx

Agreed well said! Great post OP

There are fake profiles and people with multiple profiles on here. Admin try their best to clamp down on those repeat offenders, but some do slip through the net...

They never last very long though and nothing should spoil your fun

Yep works for us.. anyone not willing to give out a number gets blocked, in essence "you wont give out your number but want to come to our home" is the reply we give

We have had a few lately messaging but insisting they only met with their fb. So we reported the profile as wrong type and it gets changed to a couple.

Again, good advice. We want to think that any contact is what it appears to be and give pepole a chance. Think we'll wait 2 - 3 weeks and review folks. Think that kind of time period would be fair to expect a little contact, or they aren't as keen as they first try to come across as. Also appreciate they may get what they consider to be a better offer. xx

Both have been prior. One exchanged several messages over a couple of days, then went silent and the other sent a friends request with a wink. More suspicious of that one to be honest - especially as they appear to have no verifications. Xx

Block new profiles, and unverified ones too. That will cut out most/ all of those fake messages.

Also, being blunt, it is fairly unlikely a fem profile will message you out of the blue, unless you have a particularly amazing profile or thread on the forum etc.

Asking to be friends very early is a mark of a fake, especially if they are unverified. Just be careful and get to learn the signs.

Verification can also be sometimes from fake profile, so even if u find someone been verified I would say check the verified person's profile too to she whether that person looks real person.

Sometimes i log on and dont have time to check messages as im looking for one reply or they may be they could always logged on

I follow a few rules

"If it feels too good to be true, it usually is"

Ask for recent face photos a call to the couple asap or a cam chat in one of the chat rooms and check the verifications

A few female profiles messaged lately, then insisted they will only meet with their male fb present and never alone. So we made sure their profile was the correct type (couple)

We used to accept friend requests, but now not until we've met them. We don't exchange phone numbers either. Can't think of anything worse than either of us getting random messages at odd times asking for a meet.

If a conversation is initiated by a female it is either a fake or a club groupie tepmoting you to a club.

I won't give my number out or talk on the phone as I'm not comfortable doing that as I am incredibly cautious. I do still meet however, but if for any reason I can't will message several hours before via message.

If that puts people off then that's understandable but means we probably wouldn't have got on anyway

I'm the same- rarely give out my number, happy for kik. and I hate phone calls in general so just don't feel comfortable confirming who I am on the phone.

I guess verifications are the best way to check...
