Wouldn't it be great if you could wear a discreet wristband to identify with other swingers. So say your camping you might meet other like minded souls without all the risk of making a tit of yourselves so to speak. Maybe the following could apply....

Purple with FreeLove text = swingers

Purple with rainbow image = bi friendly

Got a problem to bring up, I'm afraid

The swinging population is pretty large. If knowledge of this or any other signal is spread widely enough amongst swingers to be useful then it will also leak into the general population. This may have been what happened to the fabled anklet "signal" (if it ever was one).

So it depends on how discreet "discreet" needs to be: if it's supposed to be a way of signalling swingers without letting anyone else know then it'll go the way of the ankle bracelet; if it's fine that everyone knows that you're a swinger and it's just a way of not actually having to *say* it, then maybe.

No it would be a bad idea, most people don't want everyone to know they swing. It would soon get out what the bracelets meant, this is the age of the internet not the swinging sixties. It would also lead to men thinking a lady wearing one is fair game and would lead to sexual attacks. You would still make a title of yourself if you approached a wearer and you weren't their type, no offense meant there, just pointing out the pitfalls of such jewellery.

Being swingers doesn't make us automatically available to, or interested in, everyone else who sees themselves as swingers...

It's about selecting who we want to play with - and when. Not about just finding everyone who might be available!

We wouldn't wear one anyway. If we are away on a 'normal' weekend away we wouldn't be there tonswing anyway. Also like it's been mentioned above it would make some vulnerable.

Maybe someone could start a website for swingers where you have a profile that says you are bi or not. Then it could have a GPS function called "who is near" so that when you go camping you could see other swingers nearby and read their profile before messaging them?

Wouldn't that be fab? Or of course we could just have wristbands or pampass grass outside the tent.

I can't see a problem with it. It wouldn't be compulsory to wear it and those who chose to could remove it if they wanted to.

I can see the possible problems, being followed round for the duration of your stay somewhere by someone who equates swinging with "will shag anybody" for instance. Anyone who decided to wear a wristband or other sign would have thought of that I guess.

We have a small sticker on our car which is the logo (but not name) of the German swinger site that we use.

Anyone who recognises it will know what it means but most wont have a clue and to be honest we don't really care if someone from outside the lifestyle knows what it is.

The same site also does things like pens, lighters, key rings, T shirts, beach towels, and yes wristbands.

I have one of the key rings on my car keys and we will wear the wristbands for certain nights out depending on mood. However, other than at Cap d'Agde we have never been approached.

Some of the German clubs also do "wristband nights" where florescent wristbands are handed out on entry. Different colours mean different things. It can vary from club to club but usually pink is for Bi fun, red for newbies just looking, yellow looking for couples only, and green open to everything.

Can be quite fun especially when you see a newbie switch from red to green halfway through the night.

I could see a use for this in a club or at a social to identify preferences different colours for straight bi couples only etc.

Love the sarcasm! Mind you you tend to need WiFi or mobile phones which are a) often non existent b) not allowed in clubs!
