Sorry typo.

If there were a social on offer for fabbers to attend would there be much interest?

Yes, there are many socials arranged throughout the year that are well attended. Another one would probably be welcomed.

We are fairly new to this site but have been on another for a couple of years.

We were asked to attend a large social whilst on there and as it was going to be fairly local thought why not.

Luckily we were sent the guest list a few weeks before and it was mostly people that we wouldn't choose to meet so we made our excuses.

I don't understand why people do this, if it for a social and not playing surely the idea is to meet people as someone who organises and attends I can say a good 90% of attendees are people I wouldn't choose to play with or that are not what I'm looking for specifically (age etc) but when I've met them socially they've been fantastic to get on with and I've had a ball with them.

I always thought that was the point of socials, not just to meet people you'd normally try and meet?

I only arrange one on one socials with guys I'm attracted to with the view to hopefully meet a second time for sex. Never been to a large group social though.

As organisers of a socials totally agree with this

One on one socials I agree, they're hopefully a precursor to something more private, therefore I would only arrange them with people I felt attracted to.

But large group socials are about getting to know new people in a social manner. So to decide against attending because many of the guest list didn't take your fancy is missing the point of the group socials, and probably kissing out on a fantastic night out!

That is sort of my point why would anybody go if the people on the guest list were people that they would not want to meet??

The idea of a social to us would be a group of people that we would maybe like to get to know better??
