Do a lot of emergency call outs and only ever get Monday daytimes free. Makes meetings and plans very difficult. Don't get me wrong, I don't work everyday it's just I never know when I'm going to be called out. Anyone else in the same boat?

Sometimes. As a lot of people meet when the kids are at school. Unfortunately I'm at school with them.

I work different days every week and do quite a few overtime shifts... sometimes I can go 2 weeks without having a suitable meeting time. Because my shifts change from days to nights I find a lot of people just don't understand that I can't meet at a moments notice. Everything needs to be planned around my working time and sleeping time. As much as I love meets, I still need to sleep sometimes haha

Definitely. I often work abroad for three to five weeks at a time. Usually preplanned, but sometimes arrangements change at short notice (usually projects getting delayed by a week or two). I've had to cry off some meets because of this.

Work has killed my fun on here, very difficult to arrange meeting and I can seem unreliable/disinterested. But, unfortunately, it pays the bills.

My shifts are 14 hour days or Nights and have to do overtime on top. Anything social has to be planned weeks in advance x

I work away a lot. Usually in Yeovil, Portsmouth, Hull etc. Often staying in Hotels. I meet people in the areas I work in. I call them curry buddies, as we enjoy meals out. Not always ending in sex, but again I enjoy the company.

So for me, work improve s my chances. Saying that I get very little success on fab. Mostly face to face meets.

Have to say work rarely gets in the way but that's the upside of working for oneself...

Hubby and I work different shifts, he works weekends too so our opportunities to go swinging as a couple are limited.....and then he has his very important hobbies too to fit in (music related)......lucky for me he is happy for me to swing without him sometimes!

We struggle too. I often start work at 4am and work most weekends. N works in the day too. Couple that with having a son and opportunities are extremely limited

Having to travel with work doesn't hurt, and it now looks as though I will have to travel more, to parts of the country where folk are more up for meets.

Yep I work shifts and often have to do cover shifts as well, I seem to have had a run of getting offered meets when I'm working and can't get one when I'm off? Frustrating

I work for myself but if I a rrange a daytime play date and a client (hairdresser btw) calls, I can't turn away money.. So have to cancel. Sometimes at short notice.. really peeves me if I was looking forward to the meet as well

Yes fully understand. Work shifts at the hospital and pull in a lot of overtime work to pay for education expenses (mine). When I'm not at work am often very tired. Lots of people don't understand that and think I'm a time waster. Oh well, so be it - I have to pay bills not them.

Years ago I used to do on call for work Always got called at most inconvenient times Now refuse contracts that expect anything more than Mon-Fri office hours Value my work/life balance way too much
