How many of your messages on this website actually result in sex?

Winks, friend requests, messages back and forth....what percentage of contacts ends up with horny naked people swinging togethe? After all - isn't that what this fantastic website is all about!

10%?

50%?

75%?

I reckon our strike rate is about 1 in 7...which means 7 different people get in touch with us before we find someone that we manage to get it together with !

Can anyone do better?

I tend only to get the odd reply. I guess the Isle of Man is a small pond, few women, hundreds of guys. and trust me the standard of lady's on fab over here isn't great.

We have been to several swinging parties where the hosts generally assume that half of the confirmed guests won't actually turn up on the night!

Probably about 1 in 10 if we message/wink couples first. A lot higher (50% or better) if we message single guys first though. But, tbh, we don't message first that often or wink much either. We try to make sure we've read their profile first and make sure we're in their age range, size range etc. We never EVER bother with the young, fit and beautiful as we know for certain we'd never match their desires. We know our place, and we are happy there

Mine is between 50 and 75%. So I'm not doing too bad. I think it's because I'm not in any rush and go to clubs a lot more now I've been around for a year or so. I get about 20-30 messages a day which shocks me but not many are anyone new..probably 2-3 are

We wink back to about 1/8 winks because most are sent by people who have something our profile explicitly says we aren't interested in.

We probably get a similar ratio back from the ones we send.

Messages are harder to describe because we get a lot of shite effortless one liners that we ignore. Of people we engage in a proper conversation then we will probably end up meeting 1/5 and then playing with 1/3 of the people we meet.

That's why we generally don't meet 2 on 2 anymore and prefer to meet people at clubs. We prefer to meet the same couples we have played with before so never really short of offers for coitus despite the relatively poor metrics for attracting new customers because we do a lot of repeat business.

0% for us we used to be very eager and send messages daily but non resulted in playing, we get the odd message but from men pretending to be women or couples who haven't read our profile.

All our meets have been in clubs.

Crikey Chanel you're doing really well. That is an excellent strike/hit/poking rate!

Even though I am a single guy I restrict myself way too much on here.

Just go with the flow and I have certain rules... there are people/forumites who I would like to meet, but I don't match their criteria/rules...

Just the way it is. Never say never though... or is it better late then never...

Whatever it is... it is what it is...

Having said that...

I have had my fair share of private meets with regular friends and been lucky enough to travel to some of the best events/clubs/parties/socials all over the UK.

I will add the following:

"Strike rate of succesful meets" ...

Here is my experience to date:

Over the two years I been on here all my meets have been fabulous and very enjoyable experiences except for one. Probably due to my rules that protect me and my meets... mainly filters to avoid the politics, drama and negative attitude side of things on here.

I did let my guard down on one meet... which was a semi negative'ish meet... she had major issues/problems even though she meets people and been on here a while... the tell tell signs were there with the messages we exchanged, but I decided to go ahead...

Everything was going great, but cut short so meet ended. That was expected and I managed to meet friends after.

So no complaints or regrets!

Another way of looking at it is that a good swing needs a 4-way attraction (i.e. wife 1 fancies husband 2, wife 2 fancies husband 1 and vice versa).

Number of messages with at least 1-way attraction: 100% (why would you message otherwise)

Number of messages with at least 2-way attraction: 70% (let's be honest, most men ain't that fussy)

Number of messages with at least 3-way attraction: 40%

Number of messages with 4-way attraction: 10%

Number of meets ending in mutually balanced 4-way attraction: 3%

Not sure of the excact percentage but i'd say about 20% have ended in meets. I've always turned up for a meet only one i didn't because it was called off by the party organizer oweing to a transport stike as most were arriving by tube/bus.

Worst is you don't get a reply takes seconds to say ' no thanks ' ( unless it's stated in profile)

I've been on here one year and whenever I have put in the effort it's never been a problem, I find there are a good enough bunch of interesting people who are wanting to meet.

Other times I'm just bashing around the forums laughing and talking pish

just wanting banter

I think if you take life and this too seriously you might get frustrated or annoyed, go with the flow and just have fun it will come.

This is never intended to replace real life, I use it to enhance it but it's just another outlet and an avenue to use to meet like minded and fun new people.

We don't actively look for people to meet, we more sort network to increase our circles so it's hard to translate messages to meet percentage. However in the past 12 months there have been 5 men who we were making active plans with to meet privately. 2 of them after chatting for a while we changed our minds, 1 we concluded would be logistically impractical, 1 didn't return our message trying to firm up a date so we left it, and 2 resulted in meets that led to sex. 1 or those 2 whom we met became a regular.

We don't look at messaging on here as a strike rate. There are some people we talk to on a regular basis, we have never met and probably never will but we enjoy the conversation and that is all that matters. Everybody uses fab for different things.

If we message someone who is looking to meet , which we do on occasion , I would guess at 100% with single guys , 33% with couples , 25% with single women and we haven't really tried with t girls on this account , but it was about 50% on previous accounts .

We have become pretty good at spotting fakes now after five years of activity , and although we are not averse to making poor judgements now and again , we find our gut instinct serves us well . However , the figures above should be knocked down by 10% to allow for those who don't show up !
