I love tattoos. I like hearing what made people get them. Even the really tacky ones on elderly men that have faded with age, and look like blue blobs, there is usually a story behind them.

Its winds me up when I chat to people in my job or voluntary work, and they say they got one because their mates did, or it looked pretty in the shop, inevitably young girls with ankle or wrist tats.

All of mine have a meaning, and a story to accompany them.

My piercings on the other hand, are just random, 'oh look there's a piercing shop, lets get a hole in something.' moments!!!!

sounds like "received" conditioning there. I would question myself on that.

I mean it's not like tats resemble the old "sailor" type tats in any way shape or form. They have developed into a real art form and are far from cheap.

all my tatts have a personal and emotional meaning to me and not something you would ever find in a shop. Next 3 have also been designed by me.

Yes, they may look "cheap", "common" and "tacky" to some, but at the end of the day, it's my body and my money that's paid for them... so if you read a profile that says got tatts, then just move on.

I have several inkings which are all my own design. My half sleeve is on constant show and I love it. It holds such a special meaning for me each element carefully chosen to represent an important part of my life.

My tattoos are a freedom of expression for me and I will share the story of their origins with nayone that cares to take the time to find out.

Recently I had been chatting to a guy on here for quite some time... we had banter and seemed to have some sort of connection. We got onto the topic of tattoos to which I told him I had several (as stated on my profile)... he proceeded to then say 'I hate tattoos, I'm sorry you are not for me'. Which is fair enough, but considering we had got on really well up to the point of him knowing I had some lovely artwork made me think how fickle some people can be.

His loss anyhow.... I hope he goes on to find miss perfect!

G's ex thought tattoos indicated you were really common and/or that you'd been in prison. We don't agree, and both have a few tats done fairly recently. In general we think that larger ones are better than lots of smaller ones - one woman we saw in Chams recently had about 10 small ones scattered across her back, which looked very odd, while another young woman we saw had a whole arm and shoulder tattooed in leopard skin spots - fantastic!

We've also seen a girl with "fuck me" tattooed on the small of her back in gothic writing. It pays to advertise!

I've got a couple, one on each upperarm, but if I'm honest, I don't find them particularly attractive on women.

It wouldn't put me off meeting a lady with tats, because I'm not that shallow.

The best, or rather the sexiest tattoo I've seen a lady wear is sexy lacey stocking tops with a line down the back of each leg.

i ,lo have roughly got 10 or so, i have an amazing chest piece, right thigh top to bottom done, pink bows on the back of my thighs, loads of big work on my back, gypsey skull on my calf(newest-not finished yet). just ears and clit pierced. wayne has two sleeves.

to some people its heavily tattoed but to me and others its art work : )

Being perfectly honest, not keen on them on men or women, hey my uncle had them, but he was in the navy during WWII and it was kinda expected.

Lots of posts on here about them being art, fair enough, but if I bought a nice piece of art I liked at the time, say a Picasso, and then my preferences change over time, I can sell it!!!

I have both feet, both ankles, my back, my chest, my shoulder piece and a piece covering my whole lower leg. About 15 piercings give or take.

My only regret was handpoked tattoos on my feet, and thats only because it hurt beyond explination and i havent even finished them x

I have a Monroe piercing, and a middle, lower lip piercing, mine are both metal bars, if they are small enough, they don't bang against teeth.

Im a fan of the natural, born with what you were given look. I know Im in the minority! Would never say I wouldnt meet peeps with tats or extra holes (cos I do frequently), but I would probably not go for heavily tattood.

Phil officially has 2 tattoos although one of them covers half of his back and took 3 days to do! Tricia's not got any yet but we're both planning the next one(s)
