Ageism in swinging does it bother you

curious are people bothered about age in swinging or is it just a number? I look and feel much younger than my age but people seem to have a pre imposed impression what a certain age should look like.what are everyones thoughts?

To be fair, judging by your photo you quite a bit younger than your age.

To answer your question, I don't really think about that much. Everybody has their preferences - I just respect their wishes. Though being above an age range does make me start to feel like Im getting old!

Age is an interesting one, it's a generalisation but many women my age look for younger (than me). It's not scientific but I reckon most ladies over 40 will prefer guys 5-10 years younger than them. I think it's fair enough too, everybody is entitled to their choice.

When we started out we were a bit like this, but in a very short space of time we learnt that age, size, weight, race, etc are not what we should be worried about.

Instead we focus on personality and openness. This has led us to some amazing experiences, and we have played with people we would never have thought would be interested in us, for any combination of the factors above, but who did because we were open, honest and personable.

The number is not an issue, but it invariably comes with various physical or personality traits.

People saying "I look young" when they clearly don't also smacks of an unwillingness to look facts in the face.

What matters is appearance and personality.

Age has an indelible effect on those two things. It's no bad thing, great age has great benefits for many.

I'm going to be 37 on Friday ( yes I know, shocking isn't it)

I've toyed with the idea of changing my age, after all "everyone else has" but then I thought, fuck it. I love it when someone says to me I look much younger. If I'm too old for someone to meet....then boo hoo to them. No skin off my nose

45 seems to be an awful lot of people's upper limit on here, but seeing as I don't have a six-pack, a 10" cock, I'm not a particular race and I'm not prepared to pay through the nose to visit a club as a single male, age is probably the least of my worries.

I am no spring chicken and well into middle age but I still have enjoyed great success on fab so I don't see it being a problem in the slightest. I also do see many profiles with pics of guys whose age is much younger than their pics show. Don't lie guys.

I generally lean towards the younger man in his twenties even though I'm in my forties, just my preference for single meets.

Although I do mix with a more varied age range at clubs etc

I find the younger man (generally) more attractive.

I do enjoy socials with people in my age group though.

Age isn't "just" a number in my opinion. Im 60, it's an inescapable fact and not something I need to deny or even care about. There are loads of things I can't do and loads of people who don't want to meet us due to it but there are loads more things I "can" do and loads of people who want to meet us. I will never go on an 18-30 holiday but that's just one of the many bonuses

I find i have more in common with them and usually the sex is better too.

Age has never bothered us, our own and others (yes our published ages are in fact our real ages) those that get hung up on age should realise that loads of people on fab lie about there age anyway, doesn't matter at parties or clubs, an open mind is all that's needed (another thing sadly lacking on fab) I think I scrub up pretty well for 54 and if my age puts people off so be it...

Not too bothered by age. If I strike up a conversation and a women is older than I first realised it doesn't change a thing. Plus their sex drives tend to off the chart. Intellectual and sensual experience both your brain and bits get a nice work out.

There is a 7.5 year age gap between us and J looks young for his age. We have had comments when we have been out and about (few years ago, not so much now)

But when we have been to clubs felt more comfortable if anything, like no one judges you.

My age limits on here are 18 to 35 because I don't find guys that look old enough to be my dad very attractive and even though not all guys over 35 look like that, my inbox was full of guys that did and my limit was 45 when I started. I find I rarely play with guys over my limit tho as the either have no face pic for me to see if I might be attracted to them or they have only play pics, as you do OP, and that more often than not puts me off even the hottest of guys...but could do with seperate age filters for ladies as there are some super gorgeous women on here that are older than me!

Due to having kids very young and our parents having kids young, we've got to be strict with age.

I do not want to be having sex with someone I could have birthed. Likewise, we can't go a lot older when our parents are that age group, or us thinking 'when we're our meet's age our eldest child will be [older than us now]'

Since our age limits are not solely about attraction it makes no odds if someone ^thinks^ they look younger especially as we look younger anyway. And that's not us saying it, our meets regularly express that they thought we are around 7 years younger than we actually are.

To everyone it matters to some extent as do other factors metntioned on this thread people have preferences even you do with your 35 minimum age.

On here, yes I do go by age, then I add a few years on, because from my experience most men have already deducted a few years!

So unless you can back it up by attaching a clear face pic proving how young you look, then I would probably ignore.

If I was in a face to face situation like a club, I would go by attractiveness and it wouldn't even cross my mind to ask someone's' age, if people think that is ageism then so be it

I think everyone has their own preferences when it comes to age.

I personally prefer an older man. I used to only go for guys a few years older. But I've not long started a swinging relationship with a man 19 years my senior

When it comes to women though, I don't have an age preference.

Having said that, I go for people who are on the same wave length, have the same interests and people I can get on with. If you click with someone, you click, doesn't matter what age they are.

Oh definitely. I also think the initial messages are important on here too.

You can be physically attracted to someone and then chat to them and not have an attraction.

That's also why I prefer a social meet first. Or at least a drink in a bar first. As you could turn up, start chatting and not like that person in the flesh.

depends on the difference in age and the person but as most successful meets in this lifestyle are based on personality I shouldn't worry too much about it
