Just trying to increase my understanding as it's been suggested that I might be being a bit ignorant in my negative view of this practice. Why do men send a picture of their cock as part of their introductory message to profiles that don't request them?

Because those men don't read profiles. I've learnt to ignore the pictures and just delete the message, but it does make you wonder, as I assume they wouldn't introduce themselves the same way in a pub. I know this isn't a pub, it's a swingers site, but it's also a very social place.

Still, it's a great way of ing out the men you wouldn't want to meet anyway, use it as an extra filter.

Ultimate though, men who do this must be assuming that what the woman/couple in question is not adverse to receiving such a picture. Surely they wouldn't do it if they knew that some women/couples would not welcome it at that stage? To be honest. When I first joined this site I would send dick pics if requested on the persons profile or if they didn't explicitly say they don't want them sent. My reasoning was that, women get so much messages for single men that you have to get their attention some how (my messages weren't just one liners either - I read profiles) so I would send dick, body and face pictures with my messages.

I don't anymore (unless requested), mainly because I have a lot of public photos so people can see for themselves and I'm not here to beg anyone to meet me. Plus it was very discouraging when those messages would go unreplied or be deleted.

Maybe this sheds some light on why guys might do this.

I think when newbies sign up and have their first look around the site, they will see male profiles in overwhelming numbers have cock profile pics, and therefore assume this is the norm and that people want to see it.

Personally I don't mind it as long as they also attach a face pic.

it's more the complete disregard of profiles i think; many people, me included specifically say they don't want to receive them,so it's just annoying...though a handy way of telling instantly that the sender can't be arsed to actually look at a profile...so i can't really be arsed to acknowledge the message either..
