I am thinking about spending a long weekend in liverpool at the backend of september. Can anyone recommend some where to stay please and any good clubs.

Lots of places to stay all within walking distance of lots of clubs and pubs.

Put the word "Liverpool " into google and the fourth hit is a good site to get info from.

The Hilton in Liverpool 1 is the nuts to stay in, failing that if you want cheap and cheerful, the formula 1 is just around the corner and about £35 a night. There are plenty of hotel/motel types all around town so you shouldnt struggle for a room. A friend of mine uses one of the apartment lets, check online for them, top of the range apartments that you can hire by the night!

As far as nightlife go's, if you like the dance scene then concert square is your best bet, so many bars and clubs around there. If you like a bit of older stuff then matthew street would be better (also more local to the strip clubs etc!!)

Or if you got a few quid and want to celeb spot then head off down to the bars in and around the albert dock! Something for everyone in Liverpool, guarenteed GREAT night out!!

For your age I would recommend drinking around Mathew Street area. There is 2 clubs and lots of pubs. I wouldn't go drinking around bold street/concert square as that is full of young kids. Also don't go drinking around the Albert Dock as it is very expensive.

If you want something to do during the day the Beatles tour is ok. Book in advance though.
