No other way of dressing this thread up.

Who loves the word? Sexually? In an insutling capacity?

It's a great word. To be honest during sex i use it a lot..hate the word 'pussy' sometimes

What are other peoples thoughts on this great word?

I dont actually like the word C*** personally. When I first came out of a long marriage, I didnt swear and found I loved saying the word Twat tho.

Anyhow the word C*** got me a ban dont forget the other month in chat room

some one said remarking on my name change......pussy you've changed your accunt (typo they missed the o out)

to which I replied, who you calling a ccunt

so why do you hate my name

I can be very lyrical with swear words, sometimes no other word will fill the gap that a good swear word will!

"you bloody twonk" doesnt have the same effect as "you f*****g c**tfaced t**t" (feel free to fill in the *'s for your own amusement!)

I guess it depends whom is using the word, i like the word for sexual purposes but thats all, there is something taboo and bad about it but is erotic when a woman says it and demands you to pleasure hers.

Its a great word..but one I blush when using.. I love using it when talking to my Master.. Master will call it me during sex.. or when we are out together.. tell me what dirty little cunt I am... and mmm love it..

However, if anyone else uses it to me then I am close to smacking them..

Don't like it or loathe it! It is just a word that has a purpose and can be used when you feel it fits! Never have understood why fuck is almost socially acceptable, but cunt is still taboo!

Any word can become a swear word, you only have to use it in the context of a swear word!

Like all words that are considered swear words, perhaps not to be used in "polite company" but in their place.. No problem!

It's an ancient vernacular word for a woman's most personal thing, and anybody who uses it as a swearword is just an ignorant pig with a low opinion of women. Feminists are reclaiming the word and we have always used it in the correct sense.

its definitely one that gets a reaction. I dont mind when in context- though i was surprised the first time i heard if from a lady, yet it was a turn on. Not quite so keen on hearing it come from teenagers mouths on the high st.

Very high minded some of these replies.

I think the word c**t should be reserved exclusively for Traffic police and wardens;espescially those split arsed female ones.

No offence meant to our femanist sisters and all the other cockhating c**nts who've expressed their opinions so eloquently today.

It depends on circumstances. I use it during work situations to describe various people I am working / dealing with. When I was on alt.com and doing some serious dom stuff it was often used to describe the women I was with and talk about their various body parts. I've also had partners who like "dirty / insulting" talk.

between stratford-upon-avon and coventry

Apparently, "See You Next Tuesday" is derived from the word 'quaint.' I remember an old English teacher telling us this in class when I was a teenager as one of my classmates was overheard saying 'c**t'.

So if you want to insult someone, you could call them a "stupid quaint"...possibly!

we have william the conqueror to thank for this! Both cunt and fuck were simply normal words till he made norman french the language of the land and outlawed saxon language. So the saxon words became swearwords and english descended from french.? ?

personally i have no problem with cunt, just with people who call me one aggressively. i also went to see the vagina monologues. i went with a lesbian friend of mine who swears like a trooper - she was far more shocked at the content than me...

From reading the above, it's clear that a few scummy ignorant males have made 'cunt' taboo in the same way that Hitler made the swastika (an old nordic and Buddhist symbol) taboo. Both are too tainted with bad vibes to use any more.

Let's all use the good old Northern word "quim" instead. That's another old word, found in Chaucer's writing. The abusers haven't spoilt that one yet!

Kevin Bloody Wilson does a number entitled "I've Had An Absolute Cunt of a Day".

It loses a bit of effect when Cunt is replaced by pussy or quim. No?

Similarly, would it work with "You Can't Say Cunt In Canada"?

It is probably strange for a bloke to say it but I really don't like the word at all. I feel a bit awkward sitting around people who use it and never say it myself..I know it's a very old rich English word with some heritage but I really don't like hearing it being used .

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

It's all contextual.

When you're on the final few thrusts before cumming, it seems the most appropriate word to use.

If you are SUPER angry about something, then it's understandable.

In day to day conversation? Wrong. It's like using a nuclear weapon against a sling.
