Can't cum?

Hi all. I'm on anti-anxiety drugs Escitalopram and can't seem to cum at all. Just found out last night that this is a side effect of the drug. Anybody experience this? Is there any way to counter act the effect or will I just have to stop taking the meds?

Any advice appreciated!

Strange, as they're anti anxiety pills, you'd have thought they'd leave you with no anxiety about cumming.

A lot of drugs used for depression and anti-anxiety have this side effect, i am on another drug to you and I can struggle to cum a lot of the time unless I am extremely horny.

You really need to speak to your GP or the Dr that prescribed them as it could be that a change of meds or possibly a slightly higher or lower dose may stop this , which is what my DR has told me with regards to my meds.

While I am not on any drugs for anxiety or depression, due to intense therapy my sex drive is gone. I hope you get it sorted. It's not a nice place to be

You need try and stop worrying or it becomes a self fore filling worry. Try and loosen up with your fav tipple and try to stop worrying.

Seems ironic that a medication for anxiety creates more anxiety by stopping you being able to cum !

I had the same problem with anti depressants- the key is to relax and focus on the moment. It'll still take a while - but trust me longer sessions are incredible. Also found I could go all night and several times. I hated having depression, by that was a total bonus once I'd figured it out. Good luck !

I cant cum sometimes and im on no medication whatsoever.. i just at some point I will but i guess some medication you can lose your mojo. Hope you can get it sorted

I have been on meds since November. Wasn't playing at the time so had no idea they were affecting me. Started to play again in January. After a year of celibacy, I thought I would just need time to get back in the game or whatever but it's not that! No matter how horny I am, alone or with someone, just can't do it!....

A regular who was over last night mentioned how he used to take those meds and found it hard to cum on them and the penny dropped.....

Had this problem with citalopram. Took a long time to work out the best dosage to get to which eased the problem.

Unfortunately if I have to increase the dose, then the problem returns. Have to make the best of it when I am able to get by on the lower dosage.

It's a but if a catch 22,but thems the breaks with depression and anxiety...

Lots of people have this problem on the same or similar drugs

If you wait and take your dose after sex at night that sometimes helps and lower dose may help but not always suitable as the problem then returns

A helpful and reassuring partner helps also but mostly know that your not alone and like someone said the bonus is longer sessions in the sack
