It's simplistic to blame single guys.

Perhaps it was your misadventure during the selection, you narrowed down to fakes or not really serious about meeting you, etc...

Seeing your age, some might've had a second thought about it..

Singles, couples... it's wrong to paint everyone with the same brush.

Hmmmmm...Maybe and just maybe, you were dealing with fake profiles.

The pics you saw about the guys looking handsome, vwe etc may not have even been their real pics.

Fake profiles, pic collectors and time wasters know how to talk all the enticing talk and put stolen images of models out there just to lure and entice others. Once they have got their kicks from the cyber chat they just disappear or find some lame excuse not to meet.

Like one poster above said, the problem may well be with your selection criteria. Not all single guys act like this.

Empathise with your situation and it is one that we have found ourselves in previously.

Our suggestion to you would be to get more involved in the Club scene and arrange to meet at a Club. Two benefits: if they do go to Clubs they are more likely to really be players and secondly if you find you don't hit it off at the Club - you still have the rest of the night to find another person at the Club.

After a few experiences like yours we decided a long time ago to only ever meet first time at a Club. It works for us.

I'm not sure why it seems to become a blame game whenever anyone on here gets let down . It seems like whoever says they've been let down , it somehow becomes their fault !

The fact is this , this couple had a meet set up , looked forward to it , and all the guys turned out to be timewasters . This is exactly what ruins the site for those here to meet up .

All we can do is say we are sorry this happened , and it's a bloody shame people do this .

I don't go to clubs. Never let anyone down. Been late due to traffic, keep them updated, but never no show. Even when I clearly saw once that it was a TS pretending to be a woman. Well, it was meant to be a social in public place anyway.

Single guys, women, couples... It doesn't matter. It depends on the person (provided they aren't fake. Fakes can tell you anything )

Its a ballache but unfortunately it happens.

I think in our experience we've arranged fewer meets with couples than with singles - seems trickier. But then I think we've probably be let down equally by couples as by single guys.

Some probably fake profiles, some just wind-up merchants, some of the single guys just got cold feet perhaps.

Anyway its all part of life's rich tapestry.

I think in contrast, at clubs, we've hooked up more often with single guys than with couples. With a single guy its mostly whether Marion is cool with them. Whereas with a couple we've got 2 and 2 to coordinate and be cool with playing. All of which much easier in larger groups.

All the variations are good for us so we tend to be satisfied with that

I think there are a hell of a lot of guys on here who are just getting off on the fantasy of meets. It's a turn on planning a meet and thinking it might actually happen but when it comes to it they aren't actually cut out for it, they just enjoy the chase.

Then there's the fake profiles, guys who have stolen pics and text and living out the fantasy of being someone else. I've had two guys steal my pics/profile in the last few months and they are just the ones I've found out about.

The fakers will invariably have copied from what they consider the more appealing profiles, nobody creates a fake profile of an ugger. So more of the desirable guys will turn out be fakes than the less desirable ones.

Bearing all that in mind the genuine, reliable and desirable guys on here are a lot more valuable than they may at first seem, maybe not quite Unicorn status but in shorter supply than it at first might appear.

Wow what a lovely response from you all, yes we were a little picky this time and also the comments were great to read, thank you all but I think we will stick to clubs now ,hydro nr Heathrow and as for guys just sorting out a meet because they can , then cancel and the comments about our age,

Doesn't just apply to single guys. I had a meet all lined up with a couple and I've been chatting on kik with them both on the days leading up to tonight. All through the day ive been messaging and loe and behold theyve gone silent on me. Complete waste of time. All that build up for nothing.

Remember folks that couples and women can be just as bad and it's not all the blokes.

On the original topic: was it the "main event" that these guys chickened out of? Or some preliminary social meeting?

Even I would be reluctant to get involved in a weekend of debauchery without a meet-and-greet first. But if they failed to show up for that, or if they did but then failed to show up for the main event - yes, that's odd (and crass).

I know you're not lying The only guys I go for are the ones that are picky and only have decent looking women in their veris

I'm not interested in a guy whose brain is in their trousers and will fuck anything with a pulse It's a total turn off

Those whose brains are in their heads and are actually picky about who they meet do seem to be in the minority though

Agree totally though There's a lot of single women on this site who are fully aware they are out numbered big time by single men and can act like divas getting men chasing them and playng games for attention

The men with brains in their heads just walk away and refuse to play their games and they're the type of guys I go for (provided they're physically my type too, obviously!)

We had a similar experience when we first started looking for single men. Got chatting to 2 guys, swapped face pics, everyone seemed happy, started to make plans and then they went silent.

I'm not sure if the men you spoke to were verified but the 2 guys we initially spoke to weren't verified as having had an MFM threesome so we wondered if they had bottled it. We then decided we were only going to talk to those which were verified in MFM and hey presto, the first attractive guy we spoke to turned up and was great! Swapped a few messages, had a social, then had a meet 2 weeks later.

We found being far more selective in who we spoke to and being VERY clear in our messages about what we would like, and what we could offer, at a meet made things go much more smoothly for everyone.

On reflection we blame ourselves as much as anyone else for our negative experiences early on. Maybe being more rigorous in your selection process will yield more successful results for you both
