Does it really make such a difference, being paid or 'doing it for free' like people do on here?

I totally agree. It is very unforefilling. Thats what makes it quite addictive. You're always hoping that the next time will be better but it very rarely is! I used to pay for sex pretty regularly, but i'm trying to wean myself off it now as i can't afford it!! I don't see the problem, and I certainly don't see why anyone who pays for sex, or has paid for sex, should feel bad about it.

It's choosing to use an available service to fulfill a need. It doesn't mean that the client has to pay for it, just that they'd rather avoid the hassles associated with other methods.

Dating, relationships and going out on the pull all have related costs anyway.

I agree it's a very honest arrangement, as long as everyone involved is willing and happy, (and of legal age, obviously!)

The types that look down upon and sneer at anyone who pays for it always make me wonder what is really going on in their heads and if that's the real issue.

People who pay for it have problems? Seems to me that they might actually be the most sensible of the lot. As for it being bad for the ego, why should it be? They want uncomplicated, good sex on their terms and they pay for a service that provides that.

It's like paying for the services of a cleaner to make daily life more enjoyable, or paying a mechanic to repair your car so you can spend your time doing things you want to do. I don't see why, just because it's sex, it's any different to any other service.

The only problem I see on this thread are the comments about being left feeling empty once the escort leaves. That suggests to me that the person wants a relationship, rather than uncomplicated sex, and should be looking for a relationship (in pubs and clubs or via hobbies or on online dating sites or wherever) rather than trying to use bought sex to fill the gap.

If you want more than uncomplicated sex then paying for it probably won't satisfy the need. Otherwise, it seems like a viable option to me.

Incidentally, I've never paid for it but I might, if I thought it would address whatever my need, or desire, was at the time, and if I was in a position to do so. I wouldn't see any shame in it.
