think this is automatic for new users now, i had to be photo verified before being able to do anything. couldn't even look round the site.

if i'd been new it would've put me off.

I tried to ohoto verify myself and they mustn't have believes I was me even tho I stuck by their guidelines... clear photo piece of paper with name etc etc couldn't be bothered doing it again

was for this account. no matter what i clicked on it just kept taking me to a page saying i had to be photo verified.

although that could've been a glitch?

Not photo verified and won't be

Doesn't prove that you'll turn up for arranged meets, actual meet verifications do that

Don't understand why folks get so fixated on photo veris....

Get out to a local social /club/ actual meet if you want people to know you're real

It proves that you are how you say you are...in other words your pics are of you..not some stock photo;s off the web

We agree..... I know it would not prove people would turn up etc but thing it is a good start.... Even just to get the sex right X

Absolutely! If you are not photo verified..then you might see pics and think 'cor'..then when they turn up they look completely different..i suppose at least you know you are talking to the right sex as you say

a quandary, could you change my mind?

When I first joined, no way would I upload a picture here, yes I was a fake. Once I had a look around, I thought yes I like this.

I still have not photo verified myself.

I'm not sure if people believe I'm still fake?

Not for all new users.

I get the impression that only some returning customers need to PV, some say they are asked to, others say they didn't need to. No idea why though.

No, I think even I could photoshop a pic convincingly enough to get photo verified. All it proves is you've provided a pic of someone of the right gender with your username. We think it's pretty meaningless.

It would put the technically incompetent ones out, and you'd end up seeing the same pictures used again and again.

If you're really a single guy, and assuming you didn't upload somebody elses pic, you weren't fake.

The problem is the people who lie about having a partner, or claaim to be single girls, I'd say single males but there doesn't seem to be many women actively trying to "play fab on hard mode".
