I often wonder why the milf/ toyboy relationships are so popular these days?

Has this stemmed from the porn industry is it just pure fantasy or can a milf/toyboy relationship go the distance? Just good sex or is it the sugar mummy experience and security they crave?

Since splitting from my ex at 42 I've dated a string of younger men and find it a great experience but can't help wonder if it's a short lived one.

Interesting, did you want it to go somewhere?

I think in reality it depends on the age gap and if they want kids or not.

I for one are menopausal so this is a factor to think about for long term.

It's been a long time now and I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a relationship now but it would have to be with the right kind of man.

I think the age thing isn't much of an issue, if you're both prepared for a relationship. Communication of both of your desires, so to speak, is also key. Find the right person for you and I see no reason why it can't be a full lasting relationship.

As a 25 year old I have a relationship with a 36 year old married woman. Our relationship went on for 9 years and as you can imagine was not easy at times. However sexually we were so matched, we clicked we knew what we both wanted and needed it was unbelievable.

I have had a couple of short relationships with women 10years older away from this site. The benefits have been a confidence and honesty that I find missing from other relationships sometimes.

I have always found an older woman tremendously sexy, I think I am a very laid back & honest, plus I'd say I have a good amount of emotional intelligence so that allows me to relate to or communicate efficiently with an older woman.

There's a large portion of sexual desire in that kind of relationship. I think the barriers will come from youngers feeling they are missing out on something further down the line. Mainly because the younger is most likely effected by fomo (fear of missing out) which is a generational thing from being exposed to lots of opportunities.

I think it depends from person to person.

Personally I've never dated anyone younger than me, it was never because of age but about maturity. Although some on here may disagree I'm often told I'm very mature for my age and always have been.

I don't find anyone who is less mature than me attractive. Intelligence is also a key part for me as I prefer my female partner to be more intelligent than me.

When it comes to having sex rather than relationship there's always a connection with porn to some degree, the taboo factor, the experience that comes with older ladies (I'm not saying young ladies are not experienced), the "oh it's so wrong but feels so good" factor.

Some younger guys like you mentioned like the protective aspect or even the feeling of being desirable by someone.

I'm not going to lie, I definitely find the age gap and desirability factor attractive, but whether they're a mother or just an older lady makes no difference to me.

Oh and probably the most obvious reason for me would be connection. I find it a lot easier to speak to someone older than me, but that's regardless of gender .

Its like anything else, its down to what both people want and are comfortable with. I for one have never cared for conventions, and have dated women older than me (20 years my senior) and they have been fulfilling relationships. They ended not down to age but from personalities not matching up. Bottom line: people are people regardless of age... however... there is something to be said for a very sexy older woman taking an interest in a younger guy... I dunno. Maybe its a Stifflers Mom fantasy.x

Yeah I agree, I'm very young minded for 47 so I find guys in there 20's early thirties at a push much more my type.

I've been in one. It was fun, the only time I find that it starts to break down is if you see each other only as Milf and/or toyboy and forget that you're more than that.

Being 30 I enjoyed both but younger was a bit more immature and indecisive and older was a bit less fun and more serious

I had a relationship with a much older woman when I was younger (I was 25, she was 51), we were together for 2 years and yes it was fun and amazing and at the time I couldn't believe my luck that I was with an older woman but unfortunately it ended as she wanted more than just sex and fun, and me being young that was all I was looking for.. I don't see why not. When I was 20 I dated 40 YO for a bit (although technically not a MILF because she never had kids). To be fair I have rarely dated younger (bar my ex wife). We were very mentally and sexually compatible. It didn't work out in the end for a few reasons (mainly my career at the time). But taught me that age is irrelevant if connect with someone.

I'm currently seeing an older lady who is 39. After the first few times we went out and slept together I realised she was getting feelings for me. From the outset I did say that I was just wanting a bit of fun and nothing serious. When I noticed she had started to get feelings I tried to reiterate to her that I only wanted to be friends with benefits essentially. Very interesting item on Radio 4's IPM programme this afternoon about a man and woman who met aged 17 and 37 respectively and are still together after 33 years. So obviously in some cases it can work. I've yet to come across one that has. In every case the woman has had children and didn't want/couldn't have more children.

At the time the younger man didn't want kids, but then changed his mind.

I'm divorced, so are most of my friends and we married "age appropriate" partners, so there's no guarantee. However, I wouldn't invest a nanosecond of my time with someone young enough to be my son.

That said, I'm not knocking those who grab happiness where they find it.
