You should've claimed for unfair dismissal. Noone can sack you for sleeping with a colleague or whoever you want to. Even if you've screwed the manager's wife

Worked well for me several years back.....I was 39, experienced in the role. She was 29 and new to the job. I was sort of her "mentor". Taught her a lot....both on the job and extra-curricular.

Never any problems over a six month period. We both knew it was "casual" and it caused no problems or friction.

However we told no-one at work and as certain as can be no-one guessed anything.

After six months she moved on...promoted with my help. I've since also moved on. Mutually benificial you could say...so it worked well.

In my cypurrent job there was a similar thing between another manager and a younger female colleague....that really went tits up though....so beware of (1) where you are. (2) how you play it!

It's a pretty standard SOP in the armed forces - well it certainly was in the RAF.
