Some people feel the need for long profiles, to make it quite clear what they are looking for, unfortunately, others don't always read them, so waste their time and the profile holder's time, by messaging someone who there was no likelihood of meeting.

We don't want to chat. We want to get the important information across in one go, so that we don't have unsuitable guy's messaging us, which intern wastes our and their time. That works very well for us, and we're never without fun when we want it.

But within that profile, they will stress what their expectations are from a meet, if you don't match their criteria, what would be the point in you contacting them. I agree that some could turn out to be something different, as you say, but if there is no compatibility, what's the point in making contact, in the first place.

Some of us aren't interested in chatting to someone if there's no common interest .

So a detailed profile will out many of those who won't be right , if they bother to read it .

The fact that you say you won't bother reading long profiles is very common on here . Fair play for being honest about it though .

Then you should know how this site works and remember that you are one of many single guys. The successful single guys are the one's who take the time to read the profiles to see if they are compatible and would then contact that profile, to see if they would be interested in further contact/chatting.

Single guys here often struggle to know what to write when contacting someone new, especially when they probably won't be the only guy messaging that day (there could be many tens per day). The fancy a fuck messages are often first to get ignored. The writers who've not read a profile will join them.

The sum it up for me types, blocked.

If I had an automated answering service for people contacting me here, like companies do when you're on hold, I'd make callers listen and select from a variety of options so that I could screen people who might pester me from wasting my time.

It could work on profiles similarly, so that only people who have accepted the suitability of meeting all of the profile requirements are then able to write and send a message.

We have a reasonably long profile, you could probably read it much quicker than the time it takes to exchange several messages. Anyone who goes against what is asked in our profile will automatically get ignored. If they can't be arsed spending 5 minutes reading then we aren't suitable

Well if there's an instruction manual for a sex toy why wouldn't there be one for a potential sex partner worth more than a toy? It's just a little easier when you already know a few vital likes & dislikes rather than spend hours interviewing each other or worse, doing things your new friend doesn't like. Some of us have different aspects to discuss. A long profile also acts as a mode of selection... quality men, who are really interested and willing to put in effort read them. The Ines that don't I couldn't be bothered with. If mine is split into what I look for in regards to fbs and in regards to subs it isn't that long. Both are very different. I agree to a certain extent. I try not to judge a book before its cover, but since this is a site where people come so they can meet people to make them cum I think putting a little but of an effort into letting others know what your after doesn't hurt and taking a few minutes to read someone's profile can only be beneficial to the reader at the end of the day..

People rush to get a msg or wink or response or whatever, then spaz the fuck out when they dont...

Take 2 minutes to state your crap, take 2 minutes to read someone elses. If im gunna fuck someone three ways towards the weekend I wanna know what that persons about way before getting down to the deed.

We Put at end of profile a code word... saying start message with said "code word".... all messages with out this just delete.... then you know who has took time to read your profile instead of just looking at pics lol x

You're missing the point as in some cases they are just that!!! And instruction manual on what they like/dislike

I for one love reading profiles as it gives you an insight to the person behind the pics and some can be a genuine turn on! There are some that just wine and wine on with a massive list of don't's! But some can be insightful and entertaining!

Yea and if they've got their wits about them guys can just go straight to the bottom of the profile for the code word and just use it without reading a damn thing so it's pretty pointless

I think it shows some effort and tells the reading that there's something more about the person !! I do it to sell myself and start a conversation usually all rather daft !!! It's not a dating site I know but you need conversation and spark !!! If your not arsed then go a club a be human and talk to people !!!

There's a but, most women couples are not bothered about a males profile txt just what they look like and how they come across on first message !!!

I like reading profiles and I like reading verifications too

That's not strictly true. I like reading the text of everyone's profile, especially single males.

It usually lets me know whether I will be comfortable around them.

I am always unsure why people use CAPITALS..

I would only read a long profile if a pic or wink sparked some interest.Even then if I wasn't interested,I wouldn't read it all,but even the very long ones take less than 5 mins to read.

We have a long one and it works very very well for us The concept is that it filters out the semi-literate and lazy, while also explaining the kind of people we're looking for.

Got to admit that the OP's profile is short and to the point. Ironically, he's looking for someone "like minded" but then goes on to state that he's not going to explain what he's like before meeting... which is going to make it very hard for a prospective meet to figure out whether she's like minded!

It can be annoying when some claim to read all profiles ok but if you add em on whatsapp kik or any other messenger tone changes to send me pic please more pics please. I dont really care how long it takes to get a meet. I like the site anyway allways active forums and have spoken to some really nice people we both have. If a meet happens in the near future it happens. I dont login to fab desperate for a meet etc i enjoy the site.

I prefer a long profile to one that says,will fill in later or ask.

At least it gives a hint of what they are into and like,plus only takes 2 mins to read
