Just seen a profile advice request thread from an 18 year old guy who quite a few posters said his age would put them off and it got me thinking, what's the right age to start swinging?

I started meeting off the internet at 33 and went to my first swingers club at 34. Didn't get anywhere near this much sex in my 20's, didn't leave home till I was 29, so in fairness, couldn't have really got into this lifestyle till then without parents asking where I was getting in from at 7AM, ("A swingers club Mum", "Oh, did you meet anyone nice Dear?").

But guys supposedly hit their sexual peak at 18 and I sometimes wonder what my time on the scene would be like now if I'd been here through my 20's and have I missed out?

So my question is, what age did you start swinging and looking back, do you wish you'd come to this lifestyle at a slightly, or much younger age?

I will add that this is something I've been thinking about for a while and is partially prompted by a certain person who, had we met a few years earlier than we did, both our lives could've been very different.

I was very young. Difference being there was no clubs or internet back then so was more difficult.

Think it might be a blessing in disguise as im sure i would have done stuff i later regretted via the internet as i wasnt the most sensible of people

I started with ny then partner when I was 19. Very different times back then and stopped when we split up.

I suppose the ideal age to start us when you have found a partner that you are happy to swing with, and your relationship is strong enough to take it. Whilst you are single meeting other singles, even on a swinging site, is just shagging around, so doesn't matter what age you are.

I didn't know it was called swinging at the time, but I've been meeting people on the internet to do it since I was... Er... Let's go with 18.

There's no such thing as "too young", only "younger than that person would like to meet".

Late 40's here. I wouldn't say men are at their sexual peak at 18. When I was 18 sex was nothing more than a quick jump, squirt then sleep.

For us the opposite end of the end scale is interesting as I have just celebrated 50 years since I first popped my cherry. The thing I have noticed is I last a whole lot longer these days and can make things last for the whole evening where as in my youth it was all over in five minutes.

No where near as frantic as it was but I do believe the quality has improved.

I have also noticed that ladies seem to blossom out again when they reach their mid fifties.

Just trying to persuade a club to offer a "Pensioners Special" one of these afternoons. I'm only joking as my local club certainly hasn't got room in the changing rooms for Zimmer frames and is the car park secure enough for mobility scooters.

Remember you are only as old as the woman you feel.

Ten years old was pretty young... until your age isn't 60...

I think swinging is more about mentality as opposed to the physical. There are some very young guys on Fab looking for NSA. Some have incredible bodies and no doubt a lot of stamina. Do they have the skill? Not sure. My memories of sex as a teenager was that it wasn't very good sex. But more importantly I feel the younger guys don't have the maturity to understand the swing scene, and certainly don't have what it takes to give me what I want. We put an age restriction of 30 on our profile, but in reality the guys end up connecting with are by and large in their forties. I don't think that's coincidence.

I got involved in threesomes when I was 22. Regretted it. I was an independent adult, but looking back I don't think I had developed the maturity to handle it.
