So, to all you gorgeous women who have lumps, bumps, stretch marks, grab handles, big bums, thighs and tums? This thread is all about you!

You do an amazing job, you're work is never done, you're under appreciated but even though we don't tell you enough? You're all bloody amazing and we love you

The body you describe is the most common. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that the industry standard of what is deemed to be female beauty is common, it's not and the exact same thing applies to men.

I doubt there is one woman on this planet without any of the things you describe, mother or not and if only women would realise this, they wouldn't need validating!

In all seriousness you lovely guys that are commenting in such a positive way..... since being here my confidence has increased massively. I always hung around in the shadows of the body beautiful women. I'm not knocking you beautiful women out there but it's such a massive boost talking to men that do love women and all their beautiful curves, baby bellies and breast fed boobs. I can appreciate a beautiful woman's body myself but fact is we're all different and beautiful in our own ways.

Read an article the other day on how women should be proud of there mum tums and tiger stripes as a badge of honour for being a mum really. I agree too many years the media has pushed you have to be slim with a slim belly to be attractive and sexy rubbish i say! I met one woman once who used to cover up her tummy with her arm as she hated it and thought id be turned off by it. We met a few times over 12 months and thanks to me shes so body confident now she goes to nude beaches regularly now thats how women should see themselves be yourself not what society says you should be x

Its only my opinnion and I dont assume thats how i feel!! The media perception on the female form is extremely distorted! So in my own personal oppinion women with curves and lumps and bumps reflect what i see as a real woman.

Of course all women are real..... I think there is now some oversensitive reactions starting to happen here. You and I are beautiful in our own different individual ways. The guys who are commenting here are just saying that not being perfect by our own exacting standards ( that are driven by media images to sell everything from sanitary care to cat food ) is ok, they still fancy us all. They are celebrating us all. It's fact that there are men and women out there that preference certain body shapes, but it is nice that the less imperfect bodies are given some recognition. No-one is trying to take away the fact that you work hard to achieve your body, that you still may not be happy with all of you.... but factually the larger the woman the higher the consensus of lack of confidence around body image. There are exceptions to every rule..... I just don't see the need to beat anyone up for voicing opinion as that's just what it is..... an opinion. Xx

These threads ALWAYS end up with someone slagging other body shapes off. That is what pisses me off. People can have preferences without slagging off other body shapes. I've been on the scene long enough to know how it all works thank you. Not an oversensitive reaction at all, just a realistic one to how it all works. That is my final comment on the matter as I know that all the male/female white knights are saddling their horses.

I'd love to know how people get past their insecurities. I've had nothing but compliments and nobody has ever let me think I am anything less than really attractive (not just on Fab) so i really don't have anyone to blame for the way I feel about myself. I genuinely think my body is disgusting and I've always felt fat but looking back at photos and videos, I really wasn't. I've never been skinny but I wasn't outrageously overweight.

Now it seems like a self fulfilling prophecy where I am now grossly overweight and a size 22. Even now I get plenty of compliments but again it doesn't change how I feel. This is a source of great frustration for my husband who I know really thinks I'm beautiful. I've been on so many diets and I've also previously lost weight through healthy eating and sensible portion sizes but I can never keep it up. Even when I lost weight I still wasn't happy.

Sorry to monopolise this thread but I just wondered if people who say they've embraced their body truly have or if they still have the insecurities like I do?

When I look at a woman with stretch marks and who is overweight like I am then I do think she would look better if she had smooth skin and less wobbly bits. It's not that I think they are less of a good person for the imperfections but I guess I just can't get my head around that toned and healthy isn't always more attractive than fat and healthy/possibly unhealthy.

None of this probably makes sense to anyone but I appreciate the opportunity to vent a little.

I get nothing but compliments on here and that has boosted my confidence no end and I am learning to love myself.

you don't end up a BBW just coz you had kids. you end with saggy bits and stretchmarks (not everyone does but most do), and need more pampering coz everyone is taking up your time.
