Club opening times.

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

One little niggle I have with a lot of swinger clubs is their opening hours. For me, a place that opens at 9.00pm doesn`t really suit me as I`m just not someone who can stay up late at night, I`m usually asleep at 11.00pm to be up for work the following day! As for staying until closing time a 4.00am .......

Anyone else think the same as me?

I must admit I like to be tucked in by midnight, but as a club is a rare treat for me I am quite hapy to have the odd late night. My last trip to Chams just flew by - couldn't believe it when someone told me what time it was.

So I'd recommend making sure a) you have a lie-in the day you go and b) you don't have anything to do the next day, and just have a blast!

We'd like to see more clubs open earlier. There seems to be a culture of club swinging being a late night activity. One club operator we spoke to said that they had tried events from 8pm but hardly anyone turned up until after 11pm.

However, a LOT of them open in the afternoon. Why not go then?

Work, kids etc, the usual reasons. Plus the effort of dressing up and applying lots of slap just seems to fit better in the evening I'm talking about 'dry' clubs though. Spa-type clubs somehow seem more like a daytime activity

I find the afternoon sesssions are a lot more relaxed. You don't need to get tarted up, but you get as much fun.

I am thinking of Cupids, Isis, Liaisons, etc etc. Chameleons opens all day too, and there were people just leaving when we turned up at 9.30.

I will agree with you regarding kids though - can be a problem, but surely you'd need a babysitter for evenings too.

We'll have to give more consideration to daytime clubs. Babysitters are an issue though. We can get them for evenings but they all have day jobs. We'd need cover for most of the afternoon and evening as most clubs are miles away from us

Ideal for us would be a club where a good crowd arrives around 8:30 and we can bugger off by midnight (dream on!)

It may well be that some club regulars will turn up and say 'oh club so and so is brilliant early evening' because you seem to be in an area where there are plenty around, just a bit of a drive for you. Good luck though!

Yes, i totally agree,its one of the many reasons i love chams.Our local club does gay sunday afternoons, it would be fab if they did a mixed afternoon every so often

You could always go at 9 and head off at say 10 or 10.30.

That would give you a bit of time to wind down and clamber into bed on time.

You might try Kestrals nr Heathrow. They have regular afternoon sessions, which then run on into the night as Abfabs. I'm told they afternoons are chilled and friendly.

Thankfully, my favourite club Chameleons does open in the afternoon, but I do like to try other clubs. But coming from the area where I live and most other decent clubs being a good half a day travelling away, by the time I`ve got to the venue I`m pretty shattered anyway! And it`s not always feasable to travel the day before then spend a whole day frittering away in some god-forsaken hell hole where the only decent place is the club you`re visiting that night! If they opened an hour earlier it would be something! And those who go to the pub first should be socialing before at the club where you take your own cheaper drinks anyway ... unless you have money to burn!

Nothing better than a sunny Sunday afternoon sun bathing naked by the open air pool at Kestrals mind nothing better than a winters Sunday afternoon in the closed in pool mind nothing better than Kestrals any day but then i just love the place can you tell ?

Just so you know tho you have to leave kestrals for about an hr before returning when it changes to Abfabs x
