In my previous life before fabs! I was in a long term relationsip. As with most relationships honeymoon period was full of sex and happy times! But unfortunately time moved on and the strains of life and love took its toll on the relationship!! For a number of years I had a couple of years without sexual contact!! And if I was happy some years id maybe have it 2 times. The biggest factor is she never had a strong sexual desire! So in a way never really wanted it. Along with self confidence issues and body confidence issues it became more difficult!! So I was wondering with my own experience if any women on here had lost there sexual desires before but then got it back again later in there life??

Yes without a doubt. My eldest child is 12, my youngest 3. It's only in the last year I've felt happy and sexual. I feel it's a combination of hormones, tiredness and just stress? I finally feel like myself and I'm a horny devil

OMG yes, though I only lost mine because I was with the wrong man for far too long.

I wasn't sure about Fab but the men I have met have made me feel like a sexual being again. My desires are bigger and better than ever.

And if anyone deserved body issues it would be me. But I accept who and what I am now.

yes, but also happens to men as well...it's a bit of a myth that its always women who lose desire,or suffer loss of libido..

I think most people do, me included. I have 3 children between 11 and 15 so for many years it was all about them. I forgot about myself but now they are older and don't need me to do everything for them, I'm back!!

I lost mine in my early 30's, not really sure I had it massively before then either. It came back with a vengeance when I was 42/43, it was like a reawakening.

When I met my ex i had a very high sex drive. Things eventually went down to zero. We went for one or two years without sex at one point. I had no desires whatsoever. Soon as i left him it came back (I was faithful and hadn't discovered swinging). I believe my loss of libido was directly related to him. As soon as he was out of the equation, it came back just like it ever was. It's a funny thing really.

Yes, I didn't want sex for many years due to being in an abusive relationship. But when he went it was like being awakened all over again, and I can honestly say I'm having the best sex ever. I do think that a lot of women get caught up in being mom and that takes all they have. As that demand lessens then I found I started to feel like a woman and not just mom.

Its so easy to forget to make time for the physical side of the relationship and i wonder if other things get in the way of that i.e work.. Family or illness etc. So maybe it's not necessarily lack of desire but not finding time to be intimate.

I am sure there are some people who really could take it or leave it and it's not something that is a priority.

Personally I've always been sexual and it's been an important part of the relationship.

Sex is so bloody good when in a meaningful relationship.

From a man's perspective, I'm just out of a long term marriage and though still get on with my ex, the desires of sexual contact became a chore. Over time in the last couple of years of the relationship, I would make excuses not to have sex, preferring masturbation. When I did have sex with the ex, it was "wham bam thank you man" can I go to sleep now. It was only through a woman I met on social media, whom I am still a close friend of, who helped me through difficult times. So yes, it does happen to us as well

Would like to ask in general, man or woman, if you have no sex within relationship, would you still be horny and maybe masturbate? Or are there no sexual feelings at all?

Asking this because I've had 3 breakups in live and it took me each time about 4yrs to get back into interest into seeing other woman. Didn't stop me from doing some handiwork thou.

Masturbating is no substitute for making love .. it helps but its not something I would want to do unless my partner was watching me. I rarely masturbated when in a loving relationship.. didnt need to.

If I had no sex at all .. i would leave him. I couldnt be in a relationship no matter how much i love a guy if there was no sex. (unless there was an unfortunate accident that prevented him having sex)
