I see new guidelines today mean offenders face two years in jail I wonder if those who steal pictures from here for use elsewhere or those that maliciously out people here will be covered

Personally no but have seen quite a few threads where people have been affected and the advice is always report to the police.

It happened to me with an ex before it was a crime. It was pretty horrendous. I think the police charged him with publication of pornography without a licence and harassment. However I was not classed as the victim, just the people who received the material were.

Keep control of those compromising photo's people. The potential for extortion is still there from ex's.

The law is moving in the right direction as far as I understand.

I remember on another site when i was playing with a fb and we both had single profiles and a couples profile and mailed one of us with pics they had used from our couples profile

I can't do anything about it in my situation but recently finding out removed a chunk from my heart and I've got no way of controlling it.

a guy in this area has just received 300 hours community service for revenge porn offences has to attend a sex offenders programme and has been banned from using social media. Everyone in the area knows his name and what he looks like. Which is poetic justice too in my opinion
