I do not understand why people on here have to jump on people's posts with such negativity! If you have nothing to say then just move on. And to answer a question no it's not a fetich. I was simply talking to a women on here who only had one hand but felt she needed to keep it a secret as she did not see many other people with amputees on here so I just thought I would ask the question. No hidden agenda or reason.

There was a guy posted a thread recently who had a disability. A few other disabled people posted on it. I was quite surprised that they didn't mention it on their profile.

It's so sad that she feels that she has to keep her disability a secret on here, it honestly wouldn't make any difference to us when meeting someone but, as has been proven many times, people can be incredibly and brutally judgemental

They did have something to say - that asking about people's (women's, worse still) health issues or disability status comes across as creepy. It is highly personal information, and a lot of amputee women especially are targeted by careless fetishists.

The vast majority of people with disabilities or health issues, just like your friend, won't advertise it on their profile and especially not in pictures (if their disability is visible). Occasionally you'll come across a profile that mentions a disability in passing, just as a heads up. So basically there are more disabled people here than you'd know about.

There are thousands of "Straight" men who are most definitely "Bi" or "Gay" but they never mention it but can often be caught out in the chat rooms

I was actually coming from the perspective that not everyone will meet disabled people, so it would save a lot of time stating it, than start chatting with someone then dropping it mid conversation.

Well as for wanting I've already done that as I met a women who was wheel chair bound last year and she blew my mind and loved to try new things so no not fishing. But as a swingers site I do find the intolerance police a pain as I thought this would be a place people can be themselves and be honest. But it would appear that to some people unless you like what they like they jump on your case. We all look for different things that's why we are on here FFS.

We weren't negative in the slightest although it appears you judged our response to be so. Your 'agenda' was hidden to those outside your own mind - no one else knew you'd been chatting to a woman with one hand except you and her - the way your question was phrased was just slightly odd to me and being the written rather than the spoken word was more difficult to interpret that's all.

I know this is a sensitive subject but we do talk a lot about preferences on here and know that for example a lot of women prefer taller men,(As opposed to shorter) and many prefer straight guys rather than bi men..

Would it be fair and accurate to suggest that a lot of people will choose and prefer able bodied persons rather than amputees,disabled, those in a wheelchair etc? I did invite a disabled guy over once but the practicalities made it very difficult.He couldn't accommodate and meeting outside was not possible.

I guess revealing the disability can put a lot of people off.

I have tried to be as honest as I can with my disability's. I don't want to waste time, other peoples as well as mine, if they don't find me suitable.

People have said honesty is the best policy.

Sometimes I wonder if I would get better response by knocking 20 years of my age, and not mentioning my disabilities.

However, I remain hopeful.

Well I am Deaf and find that it has put a lot of people off. Sadly there is as stigma attached to disability for some people.

If OP was interested to know whether disabled people are accepted and respected on this site or in this community, he didn't need to specify a gender.

Also women's bodies tend to be fetishized more than men, and men tend to be more aggressive in their objectifying/fetishizing. I don't think many women would approach a stranger with a message like "I want to cum on your stump" like my friend's friend got regularly - and that was on a dating site
