Ok folks so, i'm pretty new to the scene but I've been on here a few months with zero success. A lot of you guys kindly helped me to improve my profile, which i greatly appreciate.

So now i'm wondering how we should address each other ? Being the person i am, i have messaged quite a few people and introduced myself politely, talked a little about myself and proposed that we maybe should chat and get to know each other a little.

So far i've got zero replies .. Is my approach totally wrong ?

Again any direction is valuable but maybe i'm just on the wrong site.

Thanks again !

Why change who you are?

I'm like you, I'd rather be polite and just me than try to be someone who I think someone else would like.

I have a friend who also uses fab, and to be honest he just gets straight in there, and in my opinion is quite crude, but it seems to work for him.

That's not me. I'd sooner be who I am and get nothing. Besides, for me there's never any rush. You will get meets eventually. LOL And sometimes when you do, you may even wish you hadn't.

We like people who have clearly read our profile, give a compliment or two (not too many) form someone who just sounds chilled and like a nice guy. We like when they say they would love to chat more and see where it goes and hate when they say things like "can I fuk mrs" or "wanna meet Sunday?".

Attach face pics too!

Hope that helps a bit.

H xx

Thanks guys and gals .. It's nice to know i'm not alone in my situation. It's also nice to know that there are ladies out there who are receptive to my approach. To be honest to just drop a "wanna f*ck" would really not be me.

But my journey will continue .. Thanks again !

Greater Manchester

I have a theory that women on here are so bombarded with messages that a subconscious wall often goes up to anyone initiating contact with them that is very hard to get past.

I very rarely initiate contact and when I have, even if that person has responded, it has almost never gone anywhere.

The vast majority of my meets have come from when someone has either messaged me first or winked at me / fabbed my photos and I've messaged them back.

The way that normally happens is by me posting new photos, which usually generates a flurry of views and fabs and maybe a wink or message.

I find that when a woman has initiated contact like that they're naturally more open and easier to find a connection with.

My advice is regularly post good new photos that extenuate your best features and only contact people when they've given you an indication that they are interested in you.

Thanks for that, that's valuable advice ! I guess Northern Ireland is quite a small network too, which makes it more difficult. But i'll follow your advise. Thanks again !

Just be yourself op. Good pics on a profile with a little about yourself. And be patient.

There is no right or wrong way for someone to find you, they either will or they won't.

I smile when people say 'stand out'. If I'm not the persons type, I'll never stand out to them.

A polite, well written message with correct spelling and grammar always stands out to me! These don't seem to be common! I like anyone who can make me laugh and acts like a gentleman.
