I don't see it as patronising. I agree there may be a better term. But the alternative of calling people who don't like swinging/ fetish 'normal' would make us.... abnormal?

It doesn't mean that but people do often use it to imply that people who don't have sex in the same way they do are boring. Which is a shame.

Vanilla isn't a derogatory term to us . It simply means someone who isn't in the lifestyle ( whatever that is ) .

And for a swinging site , there are lots of vanilla people on here , which some may think is odd . Others may see it as perfectly ok , as some have said on this thread , they are vanilla and proud

The tern vanilla simply means someone who is not a swinger.. if you are not part of the "lifestyle" you probably wouldn't even have heard the term.. it's not a derogatory term. Just a term to differentiate.. and if you are on this site ..particularly if you have had multiple meets. You aren't vanilla..

im afraid i think its rubbish that no-one not in the 'lifestyle' would know the term..its very commonly used nowadays...look in any womens magazine and you'll probably find it..and the more its widely used,the more meaningless it sounds to me..
