Is it just West Midland women who are ignorant?

Each time I contact single women on here I ask that they reply, even if its just to say thanks, but no thanks, but over 95% just delete my message without so much as an acknowledgement.

Before you ask, I always check to make sure I fit the requirements regarding age, race, etc etc and I am very polite.

Are all women so up themselves that they feel too superior to need to show show manners?

It's not about being ignorant, it's about choice - no-one HAS to reply to your (unsolicited!) message, it's entirely up to them.

And if they are receiving maybe dozens of them a day, after a while I suspect the messages start to feel a bit like 'junk mail' or spam emails - you might take a quick glance, but unless something really catches your eye, you may well be inclined to just 'bin the lot'.

If you don't get a reply, I think you can safely take that as a 'No thanks' - do you really need them to spell it out for you?

Not having a go, but I think you need to grow a slightly thicker skin, and not let it bother you. And for the record, I've met some fantastic West Mids ladies from here

I'm one of those ignorant West Midlands women because I've looked at your profile and saw that you messaged me 5 months ago and I didn't reply.

I don't remember the message or why I didn't reply, maybe I had a lot of messages that day, maybe I'd had messages from guys with a nice avatar that caught my attention, but for whatever reason I didn't reply, we didn't correspond and we didn't meet. I'm sorry if you found it offensive, it wasn't personal

I never tell people to reply, in the body of the text I just say something to the effect of .. please, all I ask is that you could reply even if just to say thanks but no thanks.

To the OP.

This may help you understand why some females do not reply, for the record I do...but sometimes wonder why I bother.

I received a hi, how are you type message, yesterday, I replied that I was good and wished him a nice day. He asked why I bothered replying when I was obviously not interested, I explained, I replied as I have manners but also added he messaged me although he lived miles away, he called me an asshole and blocked me!

You have to laugh....

No as I said it was 5 months ago. I have gold membership so when I clicked on your profile it told me so and of course it didn't say I'd replied so I obviously didn't. Don't take things personally, there are a number of reasons people don't reply but that doesn't mean they are ignorant or have huge egos.

I understand its frustrating but keep positive and don't take it to heart

we agree with the several comments regarding the number of ads received by ladies and couples.

I suspect you hit the nail on the head when you said you'd sent ten messages today! What if you'd had ten replies, all wanting to meet?

Can we suggest you go less for quantity of messages, and more for quality of messages, and content.

having manners is a very admirable quality but surely you have been alive long enough to understand that you cant force your ideals onto everyone i know i certainly have!!

this tread wasnt started as a comment on the demise of society, it was started by a single guy aving a whinge because no one replied to him!!

As Soapy said, his partener gets around 70 messages a day. If she responded to ALL of them having checked ALL of the senders profiles and sent a quick "thanks, but no thanks" at a high speed (roughly two minutes each).... that'll be 2 hours 20 minutes of her day gone... and I'd so completely wasted trying to keep folk she is effectively rejecting 'happy'....

.....if every single one of us replied with a quick 'polite' "no thanks".... the next whinging level will be met...

I find the sense of entitlement expressed by some people staggering! It's as if because THEY think they meet a set criteria they are OWED a response.

Can you imagine if you agreed to meet one of these individuals for a social meet, they'd expect a shag because you agreed to meet them.

Call me ignorant too, I have stopped killing myself to reply to all the messages, not just those from single men but couples too.

I aint in west mids most of the time, (am some of the time though) and am sick of one liners, people who are no where near my age preferences, location or those looking for webcam - photos - filming or phone sex, as my profile clearly states I am not.

I am on here to enjoy myself, not to do a full time job.

I got moaned at for sending reply's. The guys got a message and thought I was interested, then to read it and find I am not, I was called a tease!!!

Not replying is not rude or ignorant,it even says so in the FAQ.i do not reply to the junk mail sent through my letter box.

However after such a rude post i think you might find it is not just west midlands women who are ignoring you.

It seriously isn't worth it.

I keep reverting back to using my 'vanilla world' manners and answering every message we get only to feel like I am running an admin operation during my leisure time.

....I only want messages from our friends, I only want messages from folk that fit our criteria (that I find attractive and share the right chemistry) I enjoy the odd banter messages from fellow forumites but I do not want messages from those that expect me to respond because in their _iew, it's rude if you do not resond....

Do some of you guys not realise that your enemy is your competition?... Stop wasting your time whinging and moaning and spend your time selling your finer points.

Have you ever watched a nature programme where there are loads of males trying to impress one female? Does the male with the best show get picked by the female and subsequently laid?

For someone who has been on this site for over a year, you aint savvy, are you???

When Mrs R had a single fem profile, she got so much mail that we spent hours at the weekend replying to everyone!

Soon got wise... We then started replying to those that fitted the profile wants but still took hours. Eventually we stopped replying altogether unless we really thought she might like to meet the person/couple!

We never had that problem with our couples profile, untill we removed the single guy block! Way too much mail from single guys and we couldn't cope

What's the difference?

I had a pretty busy day today. I woke up to discover that three takeaway menus had been pushed through the door. I managed to ring round them in fifteen minutes flat (practise makes perfect) to say I wasn't in the mood for a kebab at eight in the morning, but thanks for considering me as suitable to eat their food anyway. Then I sat down to eat breakfast over reading my emails before spending under two hours replying to advertisements even if just to say their products were not really for me, and yes I was positive that I didn't want to take out a second mortgage on my home, but hey, thanks for the offer guys! After which I went out for a brief stroll before writing replies to a few junk mail letters stating that I was amazed that I had won the Latvian national lottery, what were the odds etc, but really there must be some more deserving folk out there. Then of course work, followed by a couple more hours of email replies, before popping round a local Jehovah's witnesses house to politely return his watchtower saying thanks, but its not really my cup of tea.

I may have less free time than Rose West now does, but my Momma raised me to have manners.....

i get 50+ messages most days, if i go in the chat room and go on cam i can easy top 100 messages

would you still reply to every single message if you got that amount?

Its easy to reply to all your mail even your a single guy and get 3 or 4 a week

expecting a lady to reply after you've all but told them to isn't going to get you very far as you are finding.

Just because you feel you meet their requirements isn't always enough and there must be attraction.

do you buy the first shirt,trousers you see that fit or do you search for the ones you like. simple terms I know but hey.

you also say you're not pushy so does expecting/asking someone to reply fit that description?

although you are at least honest about your sexual preferences which is a plus but remember these may put a lot off.
