Should we reply to an impersonal one line message?

Many women & couples complain heavily about impersonal one line messages from people who haven't read their profile, & consequently don't meet their criteria. We are not alone & up to now have ignored & usually delete without reading messages that have show no effort.

However today we've had a "hi hun" message, (we are a couple so presume it's been C'&P'd) usually It would result in a bin & our block list. Problem is it's from a Unicorn looking for couples. If we reply what should we say?

Personally we would treat the message as we would from a guy.if it doesn't match what our profile asks,we delete.

Yes good point!! It's called Girls girls, girls. It's got divided opinions if you check the green arrow you'll see the thread on here we've contributed to. ''Tis a long way for you to come to a club!!

I tend not to fuss much about the first message if the profile and pics draw me in. If, after several messages, they don't come across well, that's when I'll bin them.

My first thought is it's fake... we have had quite a few single females saying hi 9/10 are fake so just be guarded... we never really reply to one liners either just feel why should we make a effort if you can't. .. delete!!!

I think a hi as an ice breaker should be fine, as long as your profile has enough about yourself and what you are looking for.

Having said that, I do read profiles and most of the time do open with a personalised message.

We've had the same on several occasions and we find they are usually unverified locals which we suspect are men or they are women on the other side of the country.

It tends to get dull real quick as we are not willing to travel hundreds of miles to meet someone and they usually seem to just want dirty talk.

Don't get me wrong some people enjoy the dirty chat but after the first couple of times it gets very repetitive and predictable but if we was chatting to someone miles away and they could hold a normal conversation then I wouldn't rule out a long drive for a good weekend but for us it just doesn't seem to pan out that way.

We always reply to messages it's rude not to.

However that doesn't mean The recipient has to like the content. But we're never rude

Part of us wants to send a sarky reply, part of us wants to engage. Just checked the profile again been on over a year with no pics (just an avatar face pic) & no veri's, so every chance she (more probably him is a fake). Maybe we should reply "hi hun" & see what happens. If as we believe their a fake they'd have to jump through incredible hopes to prove us otherwise.

You could always ask them if they have a photo which you could see and then google image search it if they send one to you.

If you are interested then a simple hi back would give her the opportunity to reply with a message that impresses you. If not I'd just delete.

From everything you have said OP I would assume they are not who they say they are. My gut instinct would probably kick in and I wouldn't reply - unless I felt like seeing how far they would take the deception (in which case I just might be surprised that they weren't faking after all. But I very much doubt it).

Not a blooming prayer its genuine then, but you can always chat to build up a portfolio of kik Addy's for future use, not that we would do such a thing of course as it would be very naughty

Definate fake. All con men rely on the victim wanting to believe the thing to be true.
