I've just been blocked by a guy pretending to be a couple which happens frequently , when I confronted him by saying are you a couple or not because only kept saying was I will meet you first ????? So my question is why can't this site monitor that side of things !!!!

I reported a man as a women .he's still on. He gave himself name similar to mine with dash in .seem to be allowed on fab fake profiles.

How would you suggest they 'monitor things'?

Take on vetting staff to pore over every registered profile perhaps? Then fab ceases to be a free site.

Regards singles posing has couples if they want to waste their time leave them to it .

Yeah there does seem to be a higher amount than normal of fakers and timewasters at the moment.

It's so frustrating, but not sure there's too much that can be done other than reporting them.

We recently got properly suckered in by a 'girl' and even arranged a date, only to be blocked on the day of the date for no reason at all.

I would reckon that somewhere in the region of 90% of new couples joining fab are to some extent fakes.

They are either guys pretending to be a couple or are guys who are in a relationship but create a profile (often with photos) without the knowledge of their partner.

Either way most disappear unlos fairly quickly.

They can be faked, but it's a lot more effort to fake it.

I would agree that it would be great if everyone had to be picture verified, it would definitely out more timewasters.

But would also lighten the traffic on the website A LOT I would think. Which is not great for fab :o(

We have never knowingly communicated with a fake. As far as we're concerned if someone chooses to set up a fake profile that is their problem not ours, and the only reason we know there are fakes is because people on the forum say there are fakes. We use filters to block messages from those who are not verified in some way, those who are not site supporters, those with no public photos and those who are new to the site. We carefully check meet verifications and cross reference. We try to meet people who have met people we know. We also use common sense - when we've met people we have known before the meet that they are normal. We are very careful, and in over 2 years of using Fab out system has not let us down once.

There are picture verified couples that are fakes.

There are meet verified couples that are fakes.

If everyone used a bit of common sense these fakes would soon disappear.they thrive on attention and most are easy to spot.block them and report them and let admin deal with it.

Got contacted by one, no veries for over a year and no new pics in about the same period.

So how do we know they are still a couple? Or both still playing?Usually they are not just the guy.

These are the hardest of all fakes to spot.

We have made friends through fab who we now meet without verifying each other.

Other fakes are easy to spot, use filters and follow the verification trail.
