Anyone else get really annoyed when you get a friend request and a wink and have never even had a message of someone?

A wink is often redundant... Il wink back but unless you are going to message me there's little point. However, recently I've started to send a little message to say thanks for the wink, if you'd like to know more get in touch and a few have then messages to say more (something they wouldn't have done if I'd just winked back).. Maybe they are shy!

Friends request however should only been sent once you've built at least a little rapport

I usually say thank you for a wink, but a random friend request of someone who has been on the site for like 8 minutes is a joke

We usually just leave the request sitting there,so they can't send it again.Winks can just be ignored if they haven't read our profile etc.

Nothing to get overly annoyed about. We leave the requests there and ignore them.

Unless they look hot and we might accept them, quick perv, and remove.

We tend to just look at thier profile and figgre out if we have met them at a club.. only get annoyed if the profile is hidden, as why would we click yes to just a name.

Friend invites, yes.

Winks, no.

We love winks and we use them ourselves too although we have recently been informed that lots of folk don't look at them.

We don't get annoyed, we just ignore. Every now and then we'll respond with a message but that usually ends up with no reply. I guess it's people wanting to know what our private pictures are like. M

I don't mind receiving winks, as I interpret them as someone signifying their interest / testing the water, where they may be a little too shy to message.

Random friend requests though, without having messaged first, strike me as a little creepy. I often wonder if these are perhaps an attempt to see my 'friends only' pics - despite me having several pictures on display on my profile. It's really difficult to know why someone would send a friend request out of the blue, but if they haven't messaged me first, my response is likely to be either to simply ignore it or even to block them

We found that the number of unsolicited requests was proportional to how many friend only pics we had. When we removed them all to private for a couple of weeks it was zero. Now its a couple a week, but we are quite filtered up.

Friend invites I accept, look up their pics and then delete .

Winks wise, if the profile has no pictures I ignore it regardless of veri's. If they do have pictures I may wink back.

I don't mind having friend request's or winks as it's a sign that people have looked at me and nice message would be nice as well, I like to send a wink and a message and if I get a reply back and after a few message's I might ask if it's OK to send a friend request

We don't get annoyed at unsolicited friend requests. We don't accept them, either. We just see it as part of the normal Fab experience, just like the 'hows u' messages.

Winks are good, though. In fact, we wish Fab had a feature that could to switched on to only enable messaging after winks have been exchanged.

My system is accept the winks as just what they are, same as if a person winked to you in a bar. Hotlist is reserved for people I fancy and would like to meet. friends list is just that, it cntains the names of people I have met, genuinely like and have become friends.

My daughter has about 600 "friends" on her facebook page, pity they didn't get asked to lend a few pounds every five minutes, as I'm yet to see one of them d so..

I think winks are unfairly maligned. It's because they are viewed so dismissively here that I don't send them. It's a shame because they're pretty harmless and just lets you know somebody quite likes you. I'm beginning to think messages are going the same way as many here view them with equal disdain.

As for friend requests, well I've had one, so I guess I'm Billy no mates.

Nope doesn't bother me. I just simply take the wink as a compliment and ignore the friend requests.

We just block random friend requests. 90% of them of them recieved are from profiles with no profile pic, or questionable pics, no verifications, and little to nothing on their profile write up.

Usually fake profile picture hunters hoping to get access to your private pics.

We don't have that problem as we have blocked those with no photos and unverified ones! Xx
