A dick

Being a dick! Ok not literally but I have observed for a while now the tendency for some people to just be dicks no matter the topic of discussion on here. For example why do "straight" men want to meet other men? Or why pay to go to a house party? Any topic under the sun and you get those that see it as an opportunity to have a dig at the OP.

Do they just enjoy being dicks or are they simply incapable of having proper adult discussions?

Personal opinion is some payment for a house party is justified as there will be some costs involved....as for straight men wanting to meet men I would suspect they are being less than honest about being straight.

Let dicks be dicks. As long as you believe you're not a dick, no problem.

i'm guessing some people have bug bears about certain topics and just seeing that topic pisses them off?

i tend to avoid them myself, but thought this dick topic was about something else...

why is there no smirk smiley on fab also?

I've definitely noticed some people on here, both male and female, seem to lay in wait for the opportunity to bring others down. Sometimes the most innocent posts can be deliberately misconstrued in an attempt to make the poster look bad. I'm not saying I've never given a sarcastic response to a pointless thread, but some folk here seem to exist solely for the purpose of trying to make others look bad.

Unfortunately thats internet forums for you. They attract the troll types but they are easy enough to spot if you are a regular reader/user of the forums.

The only person that they make look an idiot is themselves.

And show themselves for who they really are.

Somewhere over the Rainbow

And those that put up a post to say 'what's wrong with my profile' or I've just put up a new picture and I look horrible in it'. Attention seekers plain and simple. It really grinds on me

"Some women love the D's"

You know, that statement is not wholly unmerited. All it takes is one dick to as it were, blaze the trail, and you get a whole pack(of wolves) descending on the poor OP with remarks that are uncalled for.

.

Some people are like that. I have noticed there's a trend though for saying that the person is a keyboard warrior or hates the OP - more often than not, they disagree with their viewpoint.

I do think personal attacks are dickish - name calling and that sort of thing.

There are a few posters who only post to negate the input of others and berate them using abusive language - yeah, that's a bit dickish.

My personal favourites are the guys who get so angry they start threatening physical violence on another forum user! So childish! You just end up eating your lunch thinking "Jesus! Just chill out! It's only a forum! "

Violence is never the answer....unless the question is "what's an anagram of nice vole".
