Spellcheck profiles?

I don't know about everyone else on here but it really annoys me when peoples profiles are full of horrific spelling or text talk. It actually puts me off people when their profile just says... "we wan 2 hav new experieances and hav sum fun wiv cplz and sngle femz" and messages from them are of similar speech.

I dont tex speak on profile or in forums, but i admit im not the best speller, also my fingers go too fast sometimes for my brain. lol.

Spelling is not a great issue for us, but really do HATE tex talk.

I don't really mind the profiles with bad spelling or grammar as not everyone is a great speller. However 'txtspk' is an offence for which hanging is too good!

Its quite simple. Its their profile not yours. If you don't like then don't look again. There is no law we all have to have profiles uniformly the same. The people who have profile mistakes could have gramme/spelling issues. Be annoyed less and view profiles you like and not the ones you don't.

After reading your profile and smiling i have a few pointers for you.

I will start with “friends” it is actually spelt Friends “foursome.For” should have a space between the words. Also “gonna” is not grammatically correct it is actually going to. Also “cant” is can’t .

Thank you though for amusing me and showing why people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

+1 i for one is not a good speller, and when d*unkish or d*unk tend to revert back to text talk in forums but thats laziness on my part. depends how d*unk i am if i check i will try to correct as so many spell checker (tounge in cheek for last part)

I get irritated when people text talk and use the same amount of letters as the correct spellings - like fems spelt femz. The s and the z are under each other on the keyboard, both a 4 letter word, so use the s,the z doesn't make you more sexy or give you gangster style street cred.

But like others have said spelling doesn't bother me, I prefer people to be themselves on their profiles. Yes text speak irritates me as there is no need to shorten words here, we are not restricted with space on our profiles, though I think I'm just old. Social networking sites, forums, msn, texting are a huge part of peoples lives that its almost becoming a new language - people are actually saying lol

I can understand people wanting a profile that you can understand easily.... and text speak for me on a profile would be make me not bother reading it.

For the forums though, I agree, I don't see why people want to pick on other peoples spelling, we can't all be as perfect as them can we

i know i am useless at spelling and gramma.. so either FSM does it or we write it in word then copy and paste.. and our profile is saved on the computer to update when we need to..

as for text speak.. well.. not very good at reading it, must be my age.

Not sure who that was aimed at, as you just said after reading your profile.

I am not haveing a go at anyone, thought the idea of forums was to start topics of debate, i find some topics of debate just end up slanging matches. I admit im crap at spelling etc, just my opinion that i hate tex talk.

Shame some posts end up like this as puts ppl off posting, Maybe a chill pill would go a long way
