Thinking about getting one of these, the sort that screws into a loft joist through your ceiling.

Had fun with them at clubs and thought it would be nice to recreate some of that fun at home.

Anyone set one up?

I've done this before now, had a lady friend helpless and at my mercy, normally creates a bit of a crowd. Lots of fun

Get one as soon as you can - they are the best fun ever especially with 3 (or more) - we set one up in our cabin, when our son saw the ceiling joist hook he was curious - we told him I was buying a punch bag and trying to get fit lol - he never mentioned it again

We've had one for about 7 years. Got to set it up properly and safely - Mr Kinky took the floorboards up to be able the access the joist to attach the bolt/hook.

We've put the hook above a bed in one of our spare bedrooms and disguise it with a removable voile canopy. The swing is then attached with a heavy-duty carabiner.

It's great fun and we can get into some fantastic positions and although we don't use it as often as we should, visiting friends have always enjoyed it. Might get it out tonight now you've reminded us!!!!

I don't have a garage, it will have to go in my bedroom. Some one suggested setting it up over a bed, don't think that will work for me it's more fun if it's free standing.

Me and the brother in law just built a bed that has a swing, hammock, stocks and loads of places to tie a person up for flogging ect.

It looks like a normal bed but you can pull the sides up to make it a four poster.

The plan is to sell them eventually.

We àbsolutely love it and its suprising what positions you can get out of it.

Only played in a swing at a club but sadly as I'm 6ft it was not very comfortable. No support for my head and ended up very light headed and feeling sick meaning I had to come off it

We always dream of a swing.

Unfortunately it is not possible where we leave (low ceiling)... But one day we ll get one for sure.... Can t wait to have Ms restrain on it with few people around

Hopefully we ll get to try 1 in a club or to someone else s place

I've set one up for a friend, and it was a big success.

Word of caution tho, make sure you know what you are doing, just randomly screwing it into a joist can cause problems.

If its a very modern house, the ceiling joists upstairs can be very thin, and very flexible, meaning you could easily crack your plasterboard, or worse, screw it off-centre and have the bolt/fixing pull out or crack the joist.

We had one above our bed for a few years. We put an empty smoke alarm around the hook and told the kids it was an extra one as an early warning in case anything happened.

We have one,,placed the hook in the ceiling at the bottom of the bed,,then hung a bird cage tealight holder off it to disguise it,,nosey teenager in the house hasn't a clue,,I hope!!

It differs tbh - but does start to feel uncomfortable after about ten minutes xx

We added an extra piece as a neck support because it is quite uncomfortable after a while. We've found a thin wool scarf tied between the top D-rings is ideal - it supports the neck and head and means we can use it for a lot longer.
