They're all much of a muchness. Absolutely no need to spend much more than £20 for a pair. The £40 ones do nothing that the cheaper ones can't do - and very often less.

The other reason for getting a £20 pair is that you wont feel that you've wasted too mush dosh when, after about 15 minutes, the novelty wears off and you put them in that cupboard along with all the other stuff you thought you needed

Kind of like how 3D was.

I bought one from Home Bargains, for £5.99 - works great with my phone (Samsung Galaxy S2).

Decent build quality, plenty of adjustment for eye spacing and focus. Very comfortable fit.

Tested it with a VR app from Google play store (VR Galaxy), which worked fine.

If you want the ultimate VRs then you want to spend money on Oculus or the HTC but they are very expensive as you have to purchase a very good computer aswell. The PlayStation VR is the better option.

The cheap £5-£30 ones are decent to show the family but as the others have said, the novelty wears off.

The samsung vr is pretty good with plenty of apps for it. Netflix is great on it and vr porn of course.

One of my flatmates last year had the HTC vive, which - having used the Oculus and the PS one - I can tell you is the best. The tracking is exceptional and even just watching movies on a cinema screen is amazing.
