Sexuality is such a tricky thing and even now, Gay and bisexual males still face far more stigma that bisexual or lesbian women. Our advice would be to be supportive first, it may play out for you, if further encounters are what you are looking for, but don't try and engineer them through alcohol just to satisfy yours or his girlfriends desires. Friends in my humble opinion can have sex and be friends, no need to feel weird or awkward (sounds like you don't with her and she's the old friend here). The BF has more reasons to feel strange about this since he doesn't know you. It'll pass just be normal with him and obviously since you and her have played before, things should stay normal. Bisexuality is so natural and normal for both men and women, just because you two had a bit of a play no need to feel strange. I have lots of male and female friends and have had sex with them at some point or other other but we remain great friends and nothing ever came between us. People here are also being hard on you.
