Rejection is a hard thing especially when you look in the mirror and see perfection!! It really is a hard thing to understand when someone says no sorry you're not my type, The male ego has an amazing ability to disguise the truth from us guys sometimes!! But what I can't understand is how does a simple NO turn some of us in to an aggressive self obsessed arsehole?? I have chatted to quite a few women on here, Who have received extremely disturbing messages from guys they have politely declined. I'm curious to see what everyone elses view point is on this.

It's not just guys, I have had the same rude messages from ladies/couples I have politely turned down!

It isn't gender specific, just seems it's more men down to ratios I suppose.

Though I do chuckle when I'm amazing and wonderful in one message and a hideous fat pig worthy of all levels of violent sexual degradation after a polite nope. Bless 'em.

I usually get a thanks for replying message back when I've said I'm not interested.

I very, very rarely get an abusive message back.

Maybe they're just relieved I said no

I always see it as a childish attempt to break something because you're not allowed to play with it and that way no-one else can either. I don't get such abuse very often but when I do I tend to find it pitiable rather than upsetting and also a teeny bit funny (but then I have a dark streak of humour). Oh, and it's not just men who do it.

"Fuck you, I didn't like you anyway! I'm taking my balls and going home!"

...is what I translate such messages to in my head anyway. The response to which would be "Aw, diddums" if I could be bothered.

For a good many, plain and simple genuine mental health issues centering around rejection and self-esteem to varying degrees, all rather sad really as such difficulties are conditioned into such people at an early age.

I love messages like this, it's like a red rag to a bull. If I am polite enough to say "no thank you" and anyone comes back with abuse then it's open house for me and I toy with them (rather like a cat playing with its prey) until I get bored...then they're blocked and I inform my closest female fab friends of the presence of a twit!!
