Ive had singles membership at Chams Darlaston for the last couple of years. On average I visit the club about 1 or 2 times per month normally Friday afternoons through to nearly closing time. Ive never been very good at coming forward to people I like the look of. I spend most of my time relaxing in the hot tub and cinema room. I came to the conclusion that if I wanted to get to know more people I needed to be more forward. so this past Friday I did just that and met and played with some really fun friendly people.

I just wondered how many other couples and singles who go to the club Find it a bit nerve racking mainly due to the fact that they only go there once in a while

There is no such thing as a bad night at chams was there and stayed over Friday too and was a fab night.

It always makes me laugh when you see the single guys in clubs not making any effort to chat with anyone! Some do but the majority just follow couples or single ladies around without thinking that they'd do a lot better if they engaged people in dialogue! Good for you for being more pro active! Z

Lol could'nt miss us we were doing the konga line up to the mirrored play room lol and the guys made me laugh all faces pressed up to the window all with smooched noses.

Yes Pro active is the way forward from now on But will never be the pushy type. I guy literally forced his way between Me and a girl I was getting on well with, If I wasnt such an easy going guy I would have drowned the little runt

Yes that's where I saw you heading shaz, Makes me laugh to seeing all the guys fighting for a space to watch or get involved. Can see why some couples and singles sometimes get fed up with them. But there again its under control as the guys know they will get kicked out if they put a foot wrong.

I think I've seen shaz there but couldn't say for sure as the queue was out of the room and down 2 flights of stairs to the bar and I couldn't be arsed to wait!

In response to the OP - we've been twice now our first time being our first ever experience, and our second time being the follwoing week!lol

We got over our nerves very quickly, but still working on polite ways to say no to people as we really enjoy the social side of it too - chatting and having a laugh, but then a lot of people take that as "game on"... which I dont' think is always a wise presumtion. - Dont' get me wrong - it normally is but not all the time. Luckily, so far people get the hints but I think thats our only shyness is saying - "not tonight".... although to be fair... its not really happened yet - most people get the vibe way before we have to say "no"

Although it is something we need to work on as we may well be visiting during single male time next time, and not under the safety of couples only...

We have been a few times and have to say we do struggle a bit to chat to others I don't know why that is but we do just find ourselves sitting in the corner

We know we should make more of an effort but we are both a little shy and do wish we was more out going

what is it with darlaston and swinging / sauna's ?

as well as chams they also have the greenhouse sauna which has won the best UK gay sauna title for most of the last 10 years

and all that in some little town with (from what i have seen) not a great deal to shout home about

i suppose the proximity of 2 M6 junctions helps

Chams feels like home to me, we got a few times a month and its great, we never have a bad night.

We went to Abfabs over the weekend and its a nice treat. Its very different to Chams in that its a very dressy place, you couldnt just wear a towel or normal lingerie, its a dress to impress place and I love it cos Im a diva. But then I always dress up at Chams too, I dont have a good night unless I feel good in some sexy lingerie.

Darlaston (or Darlo as the locals call it) has NOTHING going for it in the vanilla sense except a good builders merchants and a garage that sells Bio diesel. One of the most deprived areas in the country apparently.

Going to Chams as a single guy, I don't make enough effort to chat to anyone, I think it's because people don't welcome any effort I make with messages on here and there seems to be so many single men on here and in Chams that I feel like vermin to couples.

I wouldn't like to presume I'd be welcome to chat to a couple as the majority are there to meet other couples and single women right?

I can't approach single women in my private life for fear of rejection so why would I want rejection in Chams too?

I know what you mean about feeling like vermin, It is Horrible. I can also see why some couples get fed up with some of the guys at Chams, I must admit that I have never been rejected by any one at Chams Over the last couple of years, Im no where near as forward as some of the guys at Chams but after recently deciding to at least try to be chatty with some of the couples it works. even if you only end up chatting its still got to be better than walking or sitting around in total silence

The way I have started to look at it is If you get blanked for just chatting then They are just ignorant and certainly not the sort of people I would be interested in playing with anyway

just be yourself,be at ease,talk to people at the bar not all couples are anti single men

ive been with my g/f twice now and have found the single men on the whole predatory and follow u round ,but saying that none have touched unless invited and have gone when asked to .

its daunting for couples too as to know when to be assertive or open

we r a friendly couple but do like at some point in the evening just to chill together
