I may be stupid but i keep seeing it on peoples profiles, what does amp mean?

It's short for 'ampersand' which is the little symbol above 7 on your keyboard . Sometimes the software doesn't recognise it and it comes out as 'amp'

It's an abbreviation for the word 'and'.

You can probably make it show up if you use the ASCII code but you'd be quicker just typing the word.

Its because people use '&' instead of 'and'

Sometimes the system doesn't understand '&' and it shows as '&amp'

I believe it was a deliberate fault introduced to the profiles software so that if ever there was a lull in the forums someone could ask a question about ampersands and & to liven things up again.
