Does anyone know of a good documentary about the swinging lifestyle?

I feel like anyone I've ever seen just shows the worst and weirdest parts and ignores all the good stuff.

Trying to find one that actually shows off the better parts of the lifestyle

I've never seen swingers represented in anything but a negative light by the media.

There is an American show about swingers (forgotten the name) which is a bit better but it seems very staged to me.

Yeah it all seems very negative or they go right to the very extreme of it a few times now I've been looking to try talk it out with people but with no proof or something to reference it's very hard

I think it's a very personal thing anyway. For instance you refer to a lifestyle but we don't think of it that way at all.

If people aren't getting it I don't think there's much point trying to change their mind.

The one I saw was called something like 'lifestyle wives'

1999 doc: The Lifestyle: Swinging in America - meant to be a even-handed look at swingers in America. Not sure how available it is.

1998 episode of Louis Theroux's Wierd Weekends was about swingers. I remember it being a little snarky but not too bad actually. Given it was about that time I got interested in this lifestyle perhaps that was to blame!

I think no documentary would portray that swinging is good fun . Vanilla and media would be shocked to see it shown as fun instead of seedy and discusting

Manchester

We watched the first 2 episodes of 'Real Life Wife Swap' on Netflix last night. Bearing in mind that the wife and I haven't done any swinging yet (in fact the extent of our involvement has been swapping messages on here) we thought it was ok, especially the first episode which focused on a couple who hosted a monthly house party, a couple who ran 'liberation' in Portsmouth, and a swinging pair that attended the aforementioned house party. Thought the hosts came across really well and Janet in particular seemed lovely, just the type of person we would like to be greeted by in a club.

The voice over was a bit grating with some crap puns and double entendres and the 2nd episode sounded like it was taking the piss a bit more but again, the swingers came across quite well. All seemed nice genuine people.

Going to watch the last episode tonight.

If anyone on here can please confirm whether the owner of 'liberation' still signals dress down by taking to the stage and delivering a sax solo worthy of an 80's Michael Bolton ballad, that would be smashing

If you want a positive take on swinging try Ashley Lister's books, Swingers True Confessions... and Swingers Female Confidential...

They were more than enough to make us give it a go although they gloss over negative aspects like timewasters, boring clubs, health concerns etc

Not really swinging, but you might like to check out Dawn Porters two docs looking at polygamy.

From what i can remember, one was looking at a free love commune and the other at women who shared a husband.

the 3rd episode is probably the best has a bit more drama in it.

Bury/Bolton

There is a series on the playboy channel called 'swing' an Internet search should bring some results, not a documentary as such but worth a watch.

Swing House on the playboy channel is a bit staged but if you want a bit of titalation with your partner it's ok. It's on some of the big porn streaming sites.

Just type 'amateur' in any porn website. Pretty much sums it up
