obviously it's important for those people whose profiles you've read saying that. if you don't fulfil that requirement then you're not what they're looking for.

other couples will be different in their needs...concentrate on those...one thing though...unless you're meeting in clubs and socials, virtually everybody responds better to the profiles with pictures and text...

I don't go for ripped or hung. I'm one of those weird women who believes what a man does with it is more important than size. And as someone with a less than perfect body, I don't really want my imperfections highlighted by a chiselled beefcake next to me. I prefer anything from slightly toned to a little bit overweight. Makes me less self conscious, more relaxed.

You don't get one or the other, it totally differs. Yes, some have a preference that they want X height, X inches and ripped, despite their personality. However, some, like myself, leave the preferences as a private thing that when they message me, I'll know if they're what I'm looking for.

I'm kinda shallow, I must admit. Initially all I can judge someone on is their profile, it's the nature of this site. If they catch my eye and I think they're hot then I'll talk to them. If I don't find them attractive, there's just no point. However if they turn out to be dull as dishwater and unable to hold a conversation then they're no good to me either. Chemistry is essential!

Well said! Absolutely this, it's never either/or. There has to be both physical and mental attraction.

Surely for everyone, personality/attitude is always important. I've basic (some may say shallow) preferences for men taller than me and in decent shape but a handsome (to me, since that is so subjective!) face and good personality are the biggest draws, then it's finding out if there's common interests and mutual attraction to really seal the deal.
