Trouble is taxi drivers have to be trained and checked. Any old pervert can be an Uber driver, which is why I steer clear of Uber.

I've had 3 different Uber drivers make a pass at me. All 3 were reported. It's creepy and abusing a position of trust when you're a single woman trying to safely get home.

There's no way in London I would use anything other than a black cab.

You know the cabbie knows where he or she going. S/He is checked and reportable. Nine times out of ten the cabbie is a good laugh and lastly it is a traditional sight in London and the place would be poorer without black cabs.

It may cost a few quid more but very worth it.

Yes, on a more serious note, the more I hear about uber, the less I like. My wife uses it a lot because of the convenience but I'm not so sure.

Had a few offers for free lifts home and one guy told me what area i live in...hows that for service.

I do not trust taxi services at all!!!

I've had taxi drivers flirt every time I take one. Frankly doesn't bother me as long as I'm not assaulted. I suppose most drivers (Uber included) would enjoy a woman coming on to them and I am pretty sure some girls do that !

I wouldn't, i'd wonder what you were after....discount? Certainly wouldn't partake, for fear of a phone call from the licensing office, telling me i'm suspended pending in investigation into an allegation.

I've read things about taxi drivers in general and was thinking is it true. Was reading how people try get up to fun in the back or they ask the driver and also the driver asks them. So that's all I'm getting at what people think tbh

I don't need them as much now the Tube's open 24 hours but I do still use them. I sit in the back and thankfully, the majority of them have been fine since.

Taxis are something you call get in arrive and leave nothing more i think.

Back in the day some women used to try and pay with a BJ but i don't think it happens very much these days what with cameras and the chance of being reported by someone looking to sell a story or get a payment out of it.

I love uber, I've used them here and in America and I've never had a problem despite previously working in private hire for almost 12 years I still don't hate them like others. They're convenient and cheap and I've never had a rude or smelly driver. In answer to the original question, I haven't ever made a pass at an uber driver however I know many private hire drivers do take advantage of some women's offers...my favourite story was a driver who's customer forgot her purse so she asked him to come to the door for the money, by the time he got there she was naked and bent over the kitchen worktop telling him to take his fare...he didn't but there are plenty of women who try it on with drivers.
