it can be i guess to those new to it and try and join in with people who have been here a while, become friends and have actually met each other . but on the whole have found the place friendly enough and open to new people.

dont think the scene is as such, sites are, forums have there own little groups as do chat rooms (2 totally different types of people)

This site is more clicky in forums than chat, but general chat is more clicky than the directing rooms.

Not all the clubs, Tease2 Hotel in huntingdon is our reg and been going over a year, and its so NOT, the owners and the regs make sure all new ppl are talked to and feel so very welcome.

Like any scene, it can be. It realy depends on if you make the effort to mix, as seen so many couples goto a party/club, not even attempt to talk to anyone, then leave saying it's cliquey

i think i like all groups you will get some people that get on really well and it might seem like its a group within a group, but as a woman who isn't into that its each to there own babe i wouldn't worry there are some great people out there xx

no.. I would say that it is the same in the way that a pub for example has its regulars, or you go a watch football with the same people,

hang on... you wouldn't really call those cliquey...

I'm equally happy in chat and the forums - as are a few others, so I wouldn't say that the two groups are totally different types of people. Agree gen chat is a bit more cliquey - but I'd expect that, tbh

On the whole, I don't it is... it truly is people who have formed relationships/rapport/connections/friendships chatting and interacting.

Do I think it is unfriendly and unwelcoming at times....... YES, at times.

We haven't found it to be cliquey. We don't go to clubs so can't comment on those.

Is the swingers scene cliquey? No, the scene isn't cliquey.

But some PEOPLE are cliquey (i.e. they have formed strong and happy relationships that they're comfortable with and want to stay with), and to me, that's fine!

There is no rule that says ALL swingers should be friendly and open to all newcomers. But fortunately, the majority of swingers ARE open and friendly, so anyone who feels 'excluded' by a 'clique' should just move on and find the friendlier folk!

A clique is just people who seek the comfort of those they know and recognise.

On the other side, wallflowers who haven't got the bottle to break the ice and think it's the responsibility of others to nursemaid them.

If you need a nursemaid, ask. I did when I went to my first club.

Because of societies _iew that all swingers are foaming at the mouth shag anything and everything types i think swinging is necessarily cliquey - certainly when you first start it - as trust has to be gained and swinging is all about mutual trust and respect. Anyone who starts swinging on a site and expects to be meeting and having fun in the first week let alone 10 mins is living in a dream. I always want to get to now someone before even thinking about a meet. So yes its cliquey and necessarily so .

Anyone want a soapbox going cheap???

clubs and partys are very much indeed clicky. local area = local swingers so therefore alot of people are going to know each other and become friends after a few times of bumping into each other...

how ever this website is gossip central. people chat online and talk about who they have met ect and you can read all the verifications you will find the same men meeting the same couples and same women due to recomendations.

best thing to do is just be your self and just be open honest and chatty. im not bothered about cliques... if i see some one i want to fuck or even chat to i will. x

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Its difficult as a single gal to be accepted into groups of couples. I'll just keep plugging away at those socials and clubs and see if it improves!

In the meantime, anyone want to join my clique? I have cookies!

"question is as simple as that ! "

You have cliques anywhere..among groups of football supporters, people in camera clubs...etc etc...

Dont worry about the cliques..worry about people in the cliques _iews..on here we have found everyone really friendly to each other.

The majority of swingers seem really nice people...

I have been on this site a few times before and always loved the forums as you get to see the different personalities by the stuff they say in discussions . I did seem a bit cliquey at times but I'm my own person and just didn't care . I always say the day swinging or websites like these affect me in a negative way it's time for me to leave .
