Forgive me i was not attempting to promote one over the other. However the research is sound and as an addition to condoms does increase protection. The research was conducted in areas where access to condoms was limited and yes infections were lower. Thats not to say they did not happen. But in the absence of a cure marginal advantages are all helpful.
