Forgive me if I sound dumb... but surely you can't just walk into a hotel and go knocking on the door of your meet?

Ummm tbh you can in most hotels as long as you have their name and room nunber in case you are questioned.

If not- meet someone at the bar with a room key.

If people have crao timekeeping it can be annoying.

Yes. That's exactly how I used to prefer it. I don't do hotels anymore though. Fed up with "single" guys only offering a hotel. I don't meet spoken for guys. Anyway....

I found it too awkward meeting in public bars or hotel bars. What happens if he doesn't look like his pics? Not everyone has time for socials. Or even more likely for me I'd hate waiting around alone in a bar. I used to prefer to get to it and have a nice relaxing peaceful drink alone in his room. No one nearby to listen in on our colourful conversations that way lol. I found it just the same as going to a guys house and knocking on his front door.

Whatever you find most comfortable, that's what you should do. X

Of course you can. It just takes a lot of trust and a bit of nerve. Sometimes that adds to the excitement though

Stayed in a few hotels due to fab meets and that's never happened to me. Never even heard of it. Premier Inn and Holiday Inn never happened around here.

Iv always done it. I would of previously chatted & prob met the guy so there's no messing about, I don't drink at meets so unnecessary chit chatting can wait.

Of course you can. You do just that, or meet in the bar if you prefer. Hotels really aren't bothered.

Why do I find this hard to believe all I can think of is walking in and somebody asking who I am and where I'm going!!

Meet in bar 1st normally. I have done hotel meets occasionally as travel for work. Its personal preference though and what ever you feel comfortable with.

The reception staff won't know every single person who has checked in to the hotel. As long as you look like you know where you are going they won't bat an eyelid

Why would they though? Walk in confident, the staff don't know all the guests.

Agreed, be confident and smile n nod if they they give you a direct look.

i've met in hotels on occasion, as long as you give folk concise directions to your room and they walk in like they belong there it's fine..make sure it's a big enough and generic place and the staff don't give a shit to be honest, just more faces passing them is all. sometimes there might be a key card door into your hallway or somewhere like that, you might have to pop and meet them to get them through that but it's not an issue, last hotel meet i had i think about four people came right to the room, one couple and two single guys, three separate arrivals with no problem at all

My biggest fantasy is the hotel bar chat followed later by a surprise knock on the door.

Grrrr lush thought

I've met a few guys for a drink and we have decided to play so we have either called round hotels or just gone into the reception and asked if they have any rooms free for that night

Not many hotels get fully booked now days and I've never had a time where I couldn't get a room at all
